Westwood Restaurant & Pub

Tried for dinner and were pleased with the food and the look of the restaurant. The appetizers were very tasty and they seemed to have a good variety. Food timing was great, not slow at all because they were not busy. Service was not what we hoped for for the amount of money paid. As it was not busy, a little more attention was not too much to ask. Server did not seem interested in helping us with the menu, which would have been helpful for our first visit. Had to ask for wine list. When questions were asked when the server checked on us, it was always as she was walking away. I was interested in the dessert menu which was on the table, but the check was plopped down before I knew it and she assumed we were done without asking. I was pleased with the manager who visited several times to see how we were enjoying our meal. Overall I won't judge a restaurant by one server. Hope to have a better experience next time.

Was at the Westwood a few times wedding, birthday dinner, few beers. Doesn't matter which situation it has been it has always been a great experience. By far the wedding was the best. The food & wait staff were great. Didn't mind having to go to the bar in the restaurant, they have lots of good beer on tap. There was also a bar setup for the wedding. In fact I will be having my wedding here also in 2009. Overall I am very, very pleased.

We with a large group of friends and the service was bad. we were getting our own drinks at the bar b/c server was so slow. So everyone ordered appitizers and they came in a timely manner for the size of our group. But the entrees never came we had to keep asking for them and the server was ruder and ruder everytime. Now when we first ordered the server told us we couldn't order steak well done b/c it will take to long. But it took 2 hour for the food to come and the fish i ordered was room tempature and the steak my husband orderd was well done and he ordered it medium rare. So they took his steak back and brought another one same thing well done but I thought they said they couldn't do that. Other members in our party had ordered beef tips and there was only three on the plate for 25.99 three tiny tips of beef. Needless to say I will never eat here again. Not worth the money or the hassel. Nice bar atmosphere but not a good restaurant.

Don't go to the westwood for anything. Went there for a wedding and the service was horrable. They don't even refill water glasses. And if you asked for a refill for get about it the waitstaff just doesn't care. The food was not very tasty at all. If I had to get married it wouldn't be there. You had to walk out to the restaurant to get a drink.

I've been to Westwoods for everything from a private birthday lunch to a business related dinner. I found the service to be great the selections unique and the atmosphere intimate. I enjoyed it an look for opportuities to return.

We often have in service business meetings at the Westwood. The food is always good. The service is very good. The atmosphere is pleasing. The desserts are tremendous.

The Westwood is a nice place for dinner as a couple or with a group. We were there with three other couples recently for a birthday dinner. The food was delicious, the service was great and the prices very reasonable. But the best was the deserts and coffees-we each got a different one and took a taste of each others-they were all heavenly!

My husband and I have gone to Westwood on several occassions and enjoyed ourselves. The service is good no matter if it is a large or small group. Prices are a little high but the quality of food is worth it.

Westwood Restaurant is the best. I love going there and sitting at the bar and having drinks with my husband and friends. Great place people to hang out on a Friday or Saturday night. The appetizers are the best especially the Nachos. Best place to socialize in Westfield!!

Love to have lunch here but the dinners are not that great. The staff if always great but food just mediocre at dinner time. This is more of a bar atmosphere in the evening. Good place to meet friends and hang out for some good music.

I wish I could remember our servers name but our experience transended any one aspect of service. Our school board had an out of state guest speaker that we wanted to treat to a dinner with our staff. It was a unanimous decision to go to Westwoods. We got our own room, the atmosphere, food and service were first class. It is great to have a place like Westwoods in our back yard. Our guest was impressed and we were proud to offer our best.

One of the best places to meet friends for drinks. The bar at the Westwood is probably the best in Westfield, especially if you are meeting a larger group. Live entertainment on weekends. Service is friendly.

I have also found the Westwood to be a nice place for business lunches.

for dinner, drinks, music and maybe some dancing. I would go for a date night, but not really a place for a family on the weekends. Also they have a great room towards the back with a fireplace for a small function that makes it warm, cozy and intimate.

Great night out, you can have drinks, food and entertainment..like the appetizers and salads better than the meals...pricing is consistent with most restaurants...staff is always friendly...I would recommend for a good all in one place to go for and evening...

We've had many meals at Westood, enjoying the pub atmosphere of the bar more than the more formal dining room. Their menu is varied from nachos to filet, from $ to $$. the service is generally good and if you want to have a sandwhich, a beer and a ball game, there's no place better.

We recently went to a birthday party here that was done in the morning with a breakfast buffet. We had the place to ourselves in a side area. The food was good, service good. Other times I have eaten here, I have been disappointed with the food.

I'm drawn more to the pub than restaurant. It's a great place to meet for a drink and the live music is fun. I've had better luck with lunch than dinner. The food has been inconsistent, but the wait staff has always been friendly and efficient. It's an OK place.

Had some nachos and martinis at the bar the other night. Service was friendly, but slow. Nachos were good, but martinis were amateur. Great atmosphere for a night out, can dress up or down. Socialable. Will go back.

We attended a wedding reception there a few months ago I definitely did not think the amount of money the family paid was worth the small room they got but everyone was happy with the turn out. Food has been great every time I've eaten there

Yuk Yuk Yuk. I do not understand these other reviews. This is really basic bad food. Everytime we go here the food to blah and cold. It is entirely overpriced. The restuarant has a nice interior but that is about it. The services is bad and the food is worst. You have to have a pretty low standard to keep coming back to this place.

A great place to meet after work for a date with your wife. The decor is woodsy and elegant but you don't need a suit to stop by The food is good too but the atmosphere is the draw to me, take that special girl out she will be shocked you thought of it.

The Westwood is a great place to meet as a group for a few drinks in a casual manor after work. I know I have used it a number of times for this reason. It is also a great place to have a business lunch. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff is friendly.

I most frequently visit Westwood for nursing conferences and have always been pleased wtih the selection of dinners. The wait staff is friendly and the atmosphere is conducive to the occasion.

We've been to Westwood a few times. I have not really been that impressed. The service is okay and the food isn't bad, but the atmosphere is not that great. It's too loud in the bar area when there's a band playing, it's dark, and during one birthday party we attended, there was water dripping in the party room. I know many people who like Westwood, but I'm not one of them.

The atmosphere is lovely taking the history of the building and enhancing it. Expectations were exceeded. One of the best dishes is the chipolte chicken salad. The service is good and always friendly. I find the menu reasonably priced.

I prefer to go here for appetizers and cocktails. The dinners are very hit or miss, but the lunches are pretty good and the prices are okay. Nice place to go with a group of friends on a Friday or Sat. night.

This pub is lovely inside. Dinners are inconsistent. Appetizers are good though. Large bar area with live entertainment. They also have two function rooms. I had a bridal shower there that was wonderful. Very fairly priced and food was delicious. The vegetable lasagna with white sauce was the best.

When we first moved to Westfield we went to the westwood. The food was great! The service was great! The price was reasonable-$15 person (w/tax and tip, w/alcohol or drinks) My daughter loves it as well!

PROS: Great as an overall!
CONS: Under an docter's office.

Its an ok place. Really noisy though. Hard to find a quiet spot to eat. For someone trying to watch what they eat there is not much here you can eat though.

I have been to the Westwood for many social functions. It is very loud, but everyone seems to be having a great time. If you go early to eat you can hear yourself talking and the food is excellent. I love their steak salad.

Our first "fancy" dinner night out with the whole family in awhile. Food was great, a bit pricey, but we expected that. Prime Rib was delicious. Our waitress was great with the kids and very polite.

If you are looking for large crowds, a lot of socializing, and seeing everyone in Westfield, Westwood is the place to go on a weekend night. The bar area is very spacious, the drinks a little pricey, but it offers a fun atmosphere. We found the meals mediocre every time we ate there, but the appetizers are very good.
