Welcome to one of Boston's most established Irish Pubs. Boyne Pub is located on the Brighton/Allston line - minutes from BU, BC, Harvard, MIT, and downtown Boston. We have been serving upscale pub fare and a stellar beer selection to locals of Boston and out of towners for over 17 years. Our staff and regular crowd are super friendly and will make you feel as comfortable as you do in your own regular stomp and grounds. We have live music and flatscreens showing all of your favorite sports teams. Our menu offers authentic American cuisine that has everyone on this side of the Charles River talking. Our private function room is perfect for corporate events, holiday or birthday parties, fraternity/sorority socials, or just a spot to gather all of your friends. Now offering off premise catering from our menu. Boyne Pub is a neighborhood pub with a seat for everyone.

I was in the Boyne this weekend, it is newly renovated and it blew me away, it has always been a great neighbour bar but now it looks like a downtown bar but much better. No crazy prices
Pros: Thumbs up, great food drinks and people
Cons: none

Good for late night drinking
by herolucy
One of the few Irish dive bars in the area that opens until 2am. Dinner is served before 9 or 10pm. Decent selection of liquors and cheap beers. One functional dartboard, no pool table, poor lighting, and out-of-date TVs make up a somewhat bleak ambiance. But the staff are very friendly once you become a regular, and they do keep the joint clean.
Most nights are very quiet. Having a DJ on Friday and Saturday nights can attract a local crowd. The dance floor has borne witness to drunken 'hotties' flashing and grinding on multiple occassions.
The Boyne experience is that of blue collar Boston, sleazey townie hookups, and of course, bottomless cheap drinking...
Pros: Parking, value, the staff
Cons: Ambience, location
