Stellina Restaurant

Stellina is the perfect date spot! Its in the 'burbs so you dont have to worry about parking and the drinks and food are spectacular. If you're bringing kids with you they have kid friendly food but also "foodie" friendly dishes. They have live jazz on Tuesday nights too!

We love this place. The wine list is extensive enough without being overwhelming. The bar is cozy, and there are sometimes seats available there even if there isn't a table free. (Full menu is available at the bar.)

The menu is seasonal, which has its pros and cons. Sometimes a favorite dish is missing off the menu when you go back, however, the seasonal nature of the menu ensures that everything is always fresh.

My husband and I have never had a meal there that we didn't love. The prices are on the high side, but it's a "splurge" kind of place - not a casual Friday night. We go there on birthdays and anniversaries, and once on New Year's Eve. (They lost our reservation for NYE but luckily there were only two of us and they were able to fit us in anyway.)

The owner is a very friendly woman who is almost always the hostess as well. She is very nice, but doesn't seem to have a knack for remembering faces. We've been there many times and she still greets us as if it's our first time. (I know she sees a lot of people, but often hosts/hostesses are good at face recognition and are able to at least say "welcome back.")

The bread is delicious and is one of our favorite things about going there. It's served with a pesto-lemony spread with pine nuts that is to die for. The selection of entrees isn't extensive, but I've never had trouble finding something that sounded delicious to order. The desserts are grest as well.

Stellina is a nice restaurant for a date (although a little on the pricey side) and I have, and will continue to recommend it to my friends.
