Patrick Buben, co-owner of Boston's Tapeo Restaurant and Tapas Bar on Newbury Street, is the mastermind behind Bacco Ristorante. Bacco is my favorite Italian restaurant. Warm and welcoming staff, excellent food, great martinis, especially the chocolate martini!
I love the open windows and romantic atmosphere.

Decent meal.

We ate here on a Saturday night. Lines on Hanover St were huge, but this place is hidden and not as crowded. Free bread was decent. My caesar salad was huge and very good, but the entrees were only average. My manicotti was salty and no better than Olive Garden. My friend said her eggplant was undercooked. Portions are large though, and ordering wine by the glass is a solid value. No dessert served here. I would only come here again if other places are packed.
