I went to this place with a couple of friends late last summer. Although the location was great, everything else was terrible. I had been there once before, and if I had a complaint, the manager (Bob) would tirelessly help to correct it. It turns out (thanks to some insider info from a bellman) that Bob had left because the head manager, Tom, was unbearable to work with. Once I heard that, I could immediately see the low morale amongst just about everyone who worked there (bellmen, servers, front desk, etc). One front desk clerk (who had a Russian or eastern European accent) confirmed that they were working very hard by the manager, and that it was the most thankless job she ever had. Nobody smiled, said hi, etc. Even on the brightest, sunniest day, it was a terribly gloomy atmosphere, and I don't plan to spend another dime at this place (or any Red Jacket affiliated place) unless they change management and treat their staff like human beings. Tyrannical management = low morale = high turnover = sucky vacation experience for the customers.
What a great place to go with your family. There's an indoor and outdoor pool, fun activities during the day and night, a great beach on grounds, close to everything you if want to drive and hit the batting cages or go-karts, and it's nice and clean!

Loved this hotel. Rooms were great and clean. Outdoor pool is beautiful over looking the ocean. The indoor pool and very warmly heated. They also have a great mini golf couse in the middle of the resort. The Red Jacket also offers a private beach for the guests only! The hotel is also 1 min from the main road of resturants and shops on the cape. The only downfall is the price, one of the most expensive on the cape.
PROS: Pools, room, beach
CONS: Very expensive
