Reviews for Sonsie Restaurant

Ratings_icons Yummy Romantic Dinner

A great restaurant on the side of Newbury closest to Mass Ave. the food is absolutely delicious and can please just about everyone. You can get anything to wood grilled pizza, various seafood dishes, and fun asian meals. With a darker, candlelit atmosphere, it's a perfect place for a date. we made a reservation, so I'm not sure how difficult it is to get a table normally, but we were brought to our seats upon arriving. Highly recommend!

Ratings_icons Good food

I love eating at Sonsie. A friend and I regularly visited Sonsie for lunch or dinner. It's great to sit in the front area and talk. Good food that can be expensive. It's all worth it though. If you've got the money or want to splurge, this is a place to go.

Ratings_icons overrated, but still great.

restaurants that are highly touted always leave you with something to be desired. sonsie has a strong, elite following, and most tourists are told to visit this restaurant if they're looking for trendy, quality dining downtown. in the few times that i have eaten there, i find sonsie to be loud, crowded, and always busy its certainly a place to be seen and to socialize. i personally prefer restaurants that are quiet and relaxing, but the advertised mood of sonsie is exactly what you get during your dining experience. major plusses are the wine list, desserts, and availability of things without meat!

Ratings_icons Great Food + Great Atmosphere

This is the perfect first date restaurant. Situated on Newbury Street it's a great place to people watch. In the summer the doors open up and the tables practically spill out in the sidewalk. The food is great and the music and bustle are just loud enough to prohibit ackward silence while not hampering conversation. Get the goat cheese salad, it's to die for! Their coffee is also very good. It's fun to go for a drink at night also.
