Purchased 2 $500 chairs and they are falling apart, Bernie & Phly's do not stand behind their furniture and blame it on the maker. So much for selling quality as they advertise. I will never buy a single item from them again. Bad customer service as well. Too Bad!!

A friend of mine just relocated from the west coast to the boston area for a job and needed help furnishing her apartment on a budget. We shopped all the major furniture stores?but bought at Bernie and Phyls because they had the nicest furniture for the best prices. Bob??s furniture was really crappy and Jordans was so expensive?but Bernie and phyls had the nicest stuff and really great salepeople as well. I can??t wait until I move to a bigger apartment so I can buy new furniture too!!

My husband and I decided it was finally time to replace our 20 yr old bed. Uggh!!! I totally dreaded the whole idea of finding a new one. We went to Jordans and pretty much every mattress stoe in town before ending up at Bernie & Phyl??s. My husband is totally indecisive but the folks at B&p finally helped us find the right bed for us. Plus no high pressure sales people?who wants that. The delivery guys were also great?made it all look easy?now we??re sleeping great on our new memory foam mattress!!!!

My friend suggested I go to Bernie & Phyl??s. They had lots of styles and I found one that goes well with our kitchen and is comfortable too. Great product?great service?great price?thanks Bernie & Phyls for making this so easy!!!

I just got a new apartment and a friend dragged me to Bernie & Phyl??s. I??m kind of a furniture snob and was sure I would never find anything I like there. I have to admit I was more than pleasantly surprised by how nice the furniture was. It was just like the things I like at Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel but for a lot less money. So my new apartment is now filled with furniture from Bernie and Phyl??s and I will recommend them to all my friends. Take a look?you will be happy too. Nice high quality furniture. Nice showroom. Nice salespeople.

I wanted to surprise my husband with a new leather recliner for Christmas. I looked everywhere and then my niece suggested I check out Bernie & Phyl??s. I found exactly what I was looking for?a beautiful comfortable recliner at a price I didn??t feel guilty about. I will be back!!!!

My wife made me go shopping for a new bed. I liked our old bed, but she said we needed another one. I HATE shopping of all kinds?especially furniture shopping. It was mostly a horrible experience until we went to Bernie and Phyls. I??m not the kind of guy who writes reviews like this?but I LOVE my new bed so much and I honestly don??t think we would have found it if the salespeople at Bernies weren??t so easy to work with and knowledgeable. People like you only have courage from behind a keyboard. Kee...p it up and you will find out if you atheist beliefs are true.. You piece of s**t."

Evidently looking me up on facebook beforehand, this young man decided that Bernie and Phyl's wouldn't mind making a veiled threat against me because of my atheism, and calling me a piece of s**t.

That's what B&P's evidently calls "customer service."

The quality of their bedrooms are mid-level and vary comparably priced. I got my bedroom set here, two dresser, a mirror and an armoir for just over 2 thousand dollars and they delivered it for only $35!

They offer a great protection plan, for additonal money, of course.

I highly recommmend visiting the Saugus store if your are searching for a GOOD quality, not FANTASTIC, furniture.

Totally affordable, and great, great designs.

PROS: Good quality furniture, for a great price
CONS: Good be better quality, but you'd pay more

Bernie and Phyl's has a beautiful merchandising set-up. The showrooms are nice and the store is very pretty. They have some nice products and they aren't too pricy. I would buy something in there, although I have not yet.

I'm getting married & my family decided to buy me a new couch as a shower gift. We set it up to be delivered this past Sat., because we are so busy during the week with our jobs, that we couldn't get it delivered during the week. We set that delivery up around 4/9 or 4/10, to be delivered 4/19. I was told to get my old couch out of the apt first so they could get the new one in. We did that on Fri. night. I was told the new one would arrive between 10am & 2pm on 4/19. I spoke to the delivery man who was very courteous to call me when he was en route. I live in NH. They entered my address as MA. So guess where the delivery man was going? Needless to say, I didn't get my couch on Sat. Me & my mother (who was purchasing the couch for me) called to complain about what happened & spoke with a mgr/supervisor. They told us they only come to NH on Weds & Thurs between 7am & 2pm. Guess what? I have a day job & I'm not home during those hours, which is why I originally set it up for Sat. They also mentioned after the fact that I would have to pay $30 for special delivery on a Sat. They didn't tell me that when I set it up. The manager we spoke with Sat. said he would put in a message to a supervisor that wasn't there until Mon. to see if they could deliver 4/26. He said I would get a call today. I did - a message that said they managed to set up a Sat. delivery for me on 5/3, like they were doing me a favor. That is 2 weeks after they were originally supposed to deliver it (& 2 weeks we'd have to live with no couch in our apt), almost a full month from when I originally set up the delivery. In my opinion, when you make a HUGE mistake like delivering someone's furniture to the wrong STATE, you should go above & beyond to make it better by getting it to the customer as fast as humanly possible. I don't care what you have to do. YOU MADE THE MISTAKE, YOU FIX IT. I am not happy & I will be telling everyone I know about what a HORRIBLE experience this has been.
