Salon Laura Michaels

I have been getting my haircut in Boston for about 10 years with great cuts, but lacking convenience for traveling since I moved to Wilmington, MA. I read all the great reviews about Salon Laura Michaels and decided to give it a try. I had an appointment set up with Cindy. I never left a salon so satisfied in my life! I told her to do what she wanted as she was the expert, and she gave me the best haircut I ever had! I can't wait to go back and get some highlights from her. She is simply the best with such a wonderful down to earth personality. I can't thank her enough. Will never go elsewhere!! Thank You Salon Laura Michaels!! You deserve the Best of Boston Award!!

I have been seeing Laura for over 10 years now and I have to say is she is outstanding! I am in my late 20`s and need to stay up to date with color and the latest styles and Laura has done that for me ... I just love her, not only is she an outstanding hairdresser but a great person to talk to ...

Best Salon in the area .. Salon Laura Michaels is the best .. I have been going there for just over a year now and I just love it .. my hair always comes out fantastic I have been seeing Kerri and I saw Michael while she was out after giving birth but she is back now and they are both fantastic, so up to date on the latest syles and colors ... she also does GREAT eyebrows!
The d?cor is modern, yet classical, beautiful, relaxing and everyone there welcomes you with open arms such a friendly place!!

Thank you to the entire salon! I booked myself and my 6 bridesmaids, my mother and the grooms mother all to have our hair done on my wedding day.
Michael is my hairdresser and he did an outstanding job on my hair and thank you to the rest of the staff ( Danielle, Cindy and Kerri ) who helped out. They welcomed all of us and we even brought in food and drinks, the morning was great ... the stylist listened to what all the ladies wanted and everyone's hair came out perfect!
thank you for making the start to such a special day for me go by so smoothly and relaxing!

I have been seeing Kerri for a couple years now and couldnt ask for a better hairdresser.
She always gives me the best hair cut and color, I have changed my color and style a few times just for a change and it always looks FANTASTIC!!!
I love going to Laura Michaels everyone is so kind and they wlecome you .. no snobs or crazy prices here!

I went to this salon as a treat for myself, they had great reviews so I thought that it was a good place to start since I had just moved in the area.
I said that I had wanted multiple tones of haircolor in my hair and my stylist disagreed after walking into the back room to see the dyes that were availible, so I agreed with her judgement... well the color was WAY to light and almost bleached my hair color.
Next was the cut... what she was doing is beyond me because she randomly cut strands of hair and left me with the worst cut I had ever had. I was in the salon for 2 hours and hated my hair, she knew and offered me to come back to get it fixed- WHY WOULD I GO BACK?
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!

I pass the Laura Michael`s everyday and finally decided to give it a try after I read the online reviews. Wow! What a breath of fresh air and ray of sunshine!! I am a busy mother of 5 and sometimes have no me time ... However, when I am at Laura Michaels I am treated like royalty and I leave feeling on top of the world. Laura cuts and colors my hair and she is the best . She listens to what you want and works with you. :-) also my eyebrows were getting out of control but since I have been having them done at Laura Michaels they look healthy and well groomed!! My bottom line would have to be that Laura Michael`s prices are amazingly easy on the pocketbook, their staff is professional; artistic, and above all so very friendly, sweet and welcoming.

Just visited this salon for the first time and saw Jared and loved it! He gave me a great cut, and really listens to what you want while making suggestions of his own! The products are awesome, and the place is so clean and chic with plenty of parking! The staff is very friendly and makes you feel welcome and comfortable...especially Terry who helped me find the right styist for me! The prices are great for the quality of service received! My friend has been a long time customer and I'm so happy she reccomended this salon to me! Overall a great experience and I will definately be back to see Jared again!

A friend of mine sent me the link for Laura Michael's group on facebook and they were offering a summer special, 2 for 1 deal with two of the hairdressers so we decided to go give it a try!
We both saw Jared and my friend went first he gave her such a fantastic cut and she was so happy I decided to go crazy and cut 6 inches off and add long bangs and a few layers, anyway he did such an outstanding job ... we both left so happy and the compliments haven't stopped! I love my cut and will be back to see Jared again!

I just moved to the Boston area a last year and have never had such a phenomenal hair stylist in my entire life!!!!! I gave Salon Laura Michaels 5 stars for their great service but especially for Michaels fabulous talent!!!

Michael will never let you leave his chair unhappy with your haircut, style or color. The first time I went to Michael I left 100% satisfied and have been back to see him several times since then for a cut and color. With Highlights, he is an artist!!! I felt like he worked on my hair as if it were his own personal masterpiece! He blended all of my many different hair colors to work together and look so incredibly natural.

Michael just knows what he is doing and takes such pride in his work. Very personable and super easy to talk to! He makes the whole experience marvelous and enjoyable.

My friend has been seeing Michael for years and always has such great hair and raves about him, so when she booked her wedding at the salon I got to try out Laura Michael's also ( I hadn't gone before because I am not great with change ) I saw Heather and what a fantastic job she did my hair looked great and so many people loved it ... so glad because I was in the wedding!
They did an outstanding job the entire wedding party looked great!!
I was so happy I just went back to see Heather for a cut and I am now hooked!

Heather is great I started seeing her a few months ago when my regular hairdress ( at another salon I wont be going back to ) cx on me again, anyway she gave me a wash ,cut and style and I loved the way she styled my hair so much I have been back a few times and will keep going back!!
I even have extensions now that I love they look so much like my own hair ..... she is the best!

Cindy is superb!! Finally, someone that listens to what I want & delivers! My hair can be challenging to cut with the angles and Cindy takes the time and pays attention to the details to get them perfect!

I have had too many horror stories to count with other people who have cut my hair through the years. What a difference between someone who cuts hair and someone with actual TALENT like Cindy! She not only makes my hair look better, but she makes it easier for me to style myself!

As an added bonus, Cindy is such a SWEETHEART! I just love her!

Love Cindy's hair cuts. She's a great stylist. Has lots of experience, and will work with you on whatever you want. Cindy is very friendly and professional. My neighbor got a hair cut from her four years ago. I asked her who did her hair, and I have been coming back to Cindy ever since. She does great color too.... and on top of all that she's got a great personality and loves dogs like me. If you are looking for a new haircut or style this is the place and person to see.

My daughter and I have been going to Salon Laura Michaels for many years and will never go anywhere else. "Heather" is a young stylist with flair. Her sweet demeaner and personality make it a joy to sit in her chair watching her work her magic as she creates just the right style for you. She also works wonders with hair extensions

If you're looking for a color, cut, or just try something new, Danielle Sharp has always gone above and beyond to make sure she delivers the highest quality of service. She takes her time, never rushes and makes sure the customers needs come first. I highly recommend this salon for their professional staff and dedication to customer service.

Her name is Cindy Caulderbank... if you are looking for someone who will work with you everystep of the way to get your hair exactly the way you want it.. don't go any further... The next time you need a cut, style, color, etc.., just give cindy a call... you won't regret it. Not only was I thrilled with my new hairstyle after years of the same old thing and tyring to find someone who could do what I was looking for, but she also gave 2 of my young girls the best hair style... They both wanted more than a few inches cut off and I couldn't ask for better results.

I have been going here for over 9 years and always get oustanding service!!!
I see Laura and she is up to date on all the latest colors and cuts! She is also great with my two young teenage daughter they just love her and feel like princesses when they leave, we are always treated well no snobs here everyone is welcome!
They are even on facebook now ... join the group and keep up to date with services it is so much fun!

I've been going to salon Laura Michaels formerly the Tigers Den for years now! I've always wanted to try the Hair Extensions and the talented "Heather" did such a fantastic job I keep going back for more! I've gotten so many compliments and you can't even tell that i have extensions in. Heather is a very talented hair dresser and extensionist!

I have been seeing Laura for cut and color for a few years now and she is just the BEST!!!
Everyone is always telling me how great my hair looks, she is up to date and the latest styles and it is just so much fun to go into the salon.
Everyone at Laura Michaels is so kind and friendly and not only are you treated well and like a queen but great prices also and no snobby Boston attitudes here with expensive price tags!!
The salon was just all done over a few months ago and looks fantastic!!

After being so bland and boring for so many years, I visited the Tigers Den and had a wonderful hair designer named Cindy. She made me into a new person and I continue to go there 2 years later and everytime I visit Cindy and the Tigers Den I get exactly the same perfection as the first time. Everyone is so courteous, happy and make you feel so comfortable from the minute you walk into the building, until the time you leave. In my opinion Tigers Den (and Cindy) are #1.

I have been to numerous high end salons on newbury street, lexington, etc. Tigers Den Salon in Reading is the most professional salon I have ever been to. The owners Laura and Michael are very trendy and professional. I first had a new cut done by Laura who was recommended as a precision cutter and she was unbelievable, fast and very talented. I also got my friend to go who got in with Michael. She is in love with his styling and color ability(and she is picky). I even went to a wedding where I had Kerri do an updo and was amazed by her talent. Did not look like a prom up do but a natural soft up do. She is amazing. I feel that this salon should get recognized for what it is, a neat, and clean, professional salon that is stacked with talent. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Yes, my number one priority is ALWAYS getting my hair to look exactly the way I want it. Especially because I work in the beauty industry myself. But in addition to a precision cut and color, the dynamic of the staff makes my visits such a fun place to be. Getting to go back is the only reason I can say I look forward to getting roots... -JD

I love Michael.... I have been to many salons hoping to find someone that cuts my hair the way I want...... I finally found Michael. I have even been to supposed awesome salons on newbury and they do not compare. I have thick kinda long hair with layers. He cut my hair perfectly... exactly the way I wanted it. LOVE HIM!!!!!!

I have been going here for a few years, everyone is nice and the stylists are fantastic and skilled but everytime I have gone in the last couple months the price has been more and more for the same service.
The last time it was much more so I was shocked and didnt feel I got anything extra infact I asked for the same thing as last time and that was not even two months prior. I spoke up with no good response told the prices have gone up.
Well with todays world I cant be paying $165 -$200 that includes 20% tip every 6-8 weeks for a hightlight and cut. So sad I have to give Tigers Den up!
I wish them well.

Valine was wonderful. I not only got a great cut, she gave me a new recipe to substitute barbecue chips for bread crumbs when making mac & cheese. She also gave me tips on decorating my apartment along with how to get into shape. There is plenty of parking and the staff was very congenial. Prices are good and when you consider the added value of advice you can't beat them.

I was tired of my current hair style and salon and wanted to try something new and trendy. I was referred by a co worker to Valerie at Tiger's Den. What a great experience. It was the best hair cut I have ever had. I have returned many times and now have Valerie foil my hair as well. She is a true artist. The salon stafff is friendly and efficient. I look forward to my visits there. It's a win win situation, you must try.

The 1st and 2nd time I went for a haircut, it went well. Mind you, it was nothing special and the cut was very simple. The third time I went, I thought I went to a butcher shop. After being there the two times, I thought "Hey, she's not bad. Maybe I'll ask for a specific style". Well, this cut was a bit more complicated and it's not the type of cuts she usually does. Needless to say, I am on the hunt for a new place and someone to fix my hair.

I do have to say though, the staffs are so friendly but the haircut, not so great. And in the end, it's the haircut that counts.

This was the best salon I have ever gone to. I always hated going to salons so worried that they would cut my hair like all of the other hairdressers do but Michael made my locks look beautiful. I have trouble with thin hair and he made them look full and long, healthy and shiny just the way I wanted. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone!!!

I have been going to the Tigers Den for about a year. CINDY has been doing my hair the entire time, and every visit has been wonderful. She listens to what I want, but also gives me suggestions and opinions on what would look good for me. I have never had such a repoire with a stylist before. I tried Tiger's Den after reading the great reviews...and I'm so glad I did. I've done Newbury St. and am used to paying an arm and a leg for cute hair but because I keep my cuts on the shorter side and get it highlighted every few months, it wasn't practical. Cindy is AWESOME! The highlights and cut she gave me has given me more compliments than I've ever gotten on my hair. I can't recommend her highly enough. She is truly a diamond in the rough and the prices are very, very reasonable.

.. Just had a color, cut and style for $145. Not bad considering it usually costs me over $200 on Newbury. They arent doing celebrity hair, but they are definetely a good bang for your buck. You cant go wrong, and if you are trying to save money, its totally worth it. I recommend Cindy. (the boss, I think) Thanks for taking care of my hair like a pro. :)

I found out about this salon on city search and since it was closer to my house then Newbury Sreet salons I made an appointment. I am not excited about this place at all, hair color came out not bad but not the color I wanted, hair cut was just average-not great at all. I am very surprised people highly recommend this place. I wouldn't.

This was a great experience. I was a little nervous because I haven't been to many salons (basically none) and they were really nice and Val did a great job on my hair. I wanted sort of a new cut without straying too far from what I already had, and she accomplished that very well.

My Esthetician sent me to Tigers Den I was looking for something in the Winchester area but she told me I would love Michael and I love her hair so I decided to go. She was right the color and cut were OUTSTANDING plus now they have two locations that Micheal works at one in Saugus on Essex Street. Michael is the best everyone should go see him for up too date haircuts and colorings he is very talented I am so happy and get so many compliments!! Thank you!!!

You must experience this salon for yourself. If you are looking for a great haircut, style, highlights, etc. then Tiger's Den is the place to go. You will always feels at home with the friendly folks, and most importantly you will love how your hair looks when you leave. On time and courteous professionals. I went to Tigers Den because I found them on City Search. When I phoned they said Tigers Den salon and spa I thought wow I could have a facial and then my hair done. My hair came out great but it wasnt a spa just a small room that I could hear the noise of the salon the entire time and a very loud noise maker trying to block it out. The products named after another spa down the sreet ( I later found out ) were awful my skin was a mess and not much of a selection as far as different facials. I will definatley go back for my hair it came out great minus I was taken 15 minutes late but the end results for my hair were out standing!!

Every time I have had my hair done it is just the best!!! But for the first time ever, Michael my hairdresser recommended that I have my eyebrows waxed with Jill. I have never had it done and really wasn't too sure how I would like it...and what a HUGE difference! I am actually embarassed I didn't have it done sooner. Even my husband noticed...and he doesn't notice anything!

I have been getting my hair done at Tiger's Den for over 3 years. Kerri is a great colorist! My hair looks so vibrant. Everyone wants to know where I get my hair done. I highly recommend Kerri! The Tiger's Den spa is also awesome! Jill is great! Her facials and massages are so relaxing and refreshing! It's Newbury Street without the attitude.
