Michael's Deli is one of the few places in Coolidge Corner to get a real kosher delicatessan experience. The sub sandwiches are enormous, the meats are high quality, and you can't help but love Michael himself. He works right behind the counter every single day; offers up some nice convo, and if you get to know him well enough he'll throw in an extra pickle or side of potato salad just for being a great customer!

Great selection of bagel spreads and sandwiches, and although they are a little on the pricier side they are all worth it. The pastrami is outstanding and so is the salmon dip. Great service every time I've been and the same goes for all of my male roommates.

While the bread for their world class corned beef sandwich is absolutely magnificent, the service is brusque, and at times out and out rude, unless of coarse you are a young female dressed really scantily. Think Soup Nazi with sexism and sandwiches. I saw an older women treated poorly an a younger attractive girl given fantastic service and wink within a span of about 5 minutes. Even so it's worth it, so long as you stay on the owner's better side. The food is priced appropriately for the gourmet quality. My friend who is a big meat fan recommend the Reuben with chopped liver.
