The only reason for the 1 star and not a total 0 was the waiter.
What Italian Restaurant severs food (various ptarmigan) without pasta and charges a small fortune for the little mushy bowl. Wine prices were extravagant for the brands served. Just a horrible experiance, dinner for 3 with 2-3 glasses total with tip $325.

Roofdeck dining doesn't get any better than Fiore. Great scene, great crowd, great food. No complaints!

I went to Fiore for Valentines Day and the food was outstanding. The con was trying to pick only one entree to order. The waiter was very helpful and friendly. I will be recommending Fiore in the future.

I recently attended a 47th year birthday there for one of my best friends. There was ten of us and let me tell you it was first class dining all the way!! The wait staff was amazing recommending a reasonable priced wine that was delicious, the antipasto and dinner specials were out of this world. I?m Italian and have grown up eating grandma?s food that I thought could never be beaten. I was wrong!!! Every one of us ordered something different off the menu and no one was disappointed. The gravy was fantastic. (Sorry grandma) Although the birthday boy recommends the Bombolotti alla Vodka I don?t think you can go wrong with any dish. I will definitely be back again. A hat off to Fiore?s??

The food was great but listening to him while we enjoyed our meal. was a treat. Piano players name was Nick something

We love the North End for lunch and dinner or just to have a drink or even coffee. I have never written a review before but our experience was just so bad, we had to warn people.
The food is overpriced and nothing more than average. The waitress was ok, but acted as if she didn't expect a tip. But the worse part of the visit has to be the woman, Mandy or something like that, who is supposed to be the owners wife. She was rude and snippy. They probably don't need the money. We will use this site to check out reviews before we go to a new place, that's for sure.

Shout out to Melinda Rossi w/event planning & the folks at Ristorante Fiore!! I recently held my fiance's 40th birthday party here and it was amazing! The private dining area was perfect & directly across from the rooftop deck area. Melinda Rossi was fabulous & helped me plan down to the last detail, including arranging the repair of the birthday cake that was purchased elsewhere and packaged poorly so that it slid off of the tray! I received kudos from all of my guests. This is a first class place to hold your special event!

I went to Fiore after work for some drinks and appetizers and decided to sit out on the roof deck. The deck is great, especially when it can be so difficult to find a place to sit and have drinks outside in the city. The sangria was tasty but not my favorite, and the food was decent but not spectacular. The service, however, was awful - the waitress took my plate away from me while I was still chewing a piece of bread, and then we sat with empty glasses for at least 30 minutes while we waited for our check. A nice bar for warm weather, but I might steer clear of the table service next time.

I find that it's tough to find a good spot in the North End that is both classy and reasonably priced with stellar food so I had high hopes for Fiore. Ordered a rum and diet coke at the bar it was made with regular coke not diet, no big deal. Then from where I was sitting I could see all the male staff flipping through stuff at night and pointing out different body parts to each other on the models inside the magazine....classy. From the bar I sat down with my friend and got bread, it was ice cold, it came oil no parmesan. It was 8 degrees outside and because it was dead inside (even on a Thursday night) I had to keep my coat on the entire time of my meal it was ridiculous. Everyone in there looked freezing. The waiter was attentive and nice enough but when he saw that my friend and I were not going to be ordering appetizers and lots of drinks he totally wrote us off it was very apparent and made us feel almost unwelcome. My gnocchi was decent but nothing memorable. We ordered a drink and entrees but he treated us like we didn't belong there. I eat out FREQUENTLY and a good waiter should never deliver service based on what you order. Overall the experience was disappointing especially for the price of their food and drinks. My vote would be to skip it.

This place had great food. I'm eating the leftovers right now! Only thing is, my girlfriend's chicken parm somehow got mixed up with my marsala pasta and sauce. Terrible service all night. It took forever to get our orders in and when they came the waiter put my girlfriend's dish in front of me. When I politely said that it was her's and not mine, he tried to correct me! The host placed us in an area upstairs which was entiely unromantic. Tables were close together, kids were running by constantly and the music was awful. Oh, and a note to the owners, pasta should be included in the price of a meal, especially one that is highly priced. I'll not be back, unless they offer takeout at a reduced rate.

I just went to Ristorante Fiore last night for my brother's 21st birthday (right before a bruins game) and let me tell you it was an absolutely perfect celebration. Before our reservation time I asked the manager if it were ok to bring in an outside cake and have them light candles and sing happy birthday at the end of our meal - it was NO PROBLEM! I was so happy, the manager seems tough but he was so accommodating to us (a party of 6). I have no idea why people are complaining about their entrees being unseasoned and the sauces being watery - all of our dinners were divine. My brother, who doesn't have a palate at all, ate all of his food including his salad and cherry tomatoes in his entree! I had the Bombolotti alla Vodka (signature dish) and it was absolute heaven. For all of our dishes the salads had amazing texture and well seasoned dressing, pastas were perfectly al dente and steaks were cooked just as we liked them. Our server was very intelligent of the Italian cuisine and got us out of the restaurant in time for the Bruin's game (at our request). At the end of our meal we were searching for our waiter (since we were running out of time for the game and wanted to tell him about the cake) but he showed up by his own instinct with the Birthday cake all lit and a large group behind him singing ?Happy Birthday?! It was a perfect Birthday and dinner - my brother was very happy and impressed.

Pros: Ambience, Food, wait staff/management, wine list

Cons: Bread wasn't anything special, but still good

Hmmm, where should I begin. I went there a month ago with 3 friends and not one of us found anything remotely redeeming about this place. The space was out dated, like something out of a 1970's bad Italian mob movie. We were all in agreement that popping open a jar of Prego and boiling up a mixture of some really bad packaged ravioil, gnocci or tortelonni would have been a much better alternative to what we got. Everything was under seasoned, the tomato sauces were watery like a BAD MARINARA. My friend said his Chicken Parm. was like shoe leather and to make matters worse the bread they served seemed like it came from the bottom of the bin. The salad's were good but that's annoying to even have to mention. The dessert was "old school" Italian style and seemed like it had probably been sitting in a freezer for months prior to them defrosting it. The waitress was (bluntly) A Mess, a total disaster of a server! A ten year old would have known more about Italian food from eating at chukee-cheez than she did.
Unfortunately we couldn't bring ourselves to return any of our food because we realized It Was, from beginning to end, Substandard!

Pros: being able to sit down and rest our feet for a while

Cons: Everything but a chair and some H2O

One of the apparenlty very few restaurants in Boston that have decided to compromise the above average food with poor atmosphere. 4 of us ate during the rust hour on a recent Saturday and found the service to be adequate but the atmosphere to be sophomoric. Fiore needs to decide if their roof is a bar or a dining area. It cannot be both as long as they allow both cigarette and pipe smoking.

It would have helped if our meals had been well above average but they were not. Fiore is efficiently run including pushing the bill on you at the end of the meal to clear the table for the next seating. We may return for a drink but the food at other neighboring restaurants is free of tobacco smoke and generally better.

We went recently for a crowd of 8 and were seated upstairs which was nice in the beginning. The waiter was very slow to get drink orders and we ordered 2 apps of calamari and mozzarella and tomato. Needless to say we needed another 2 calamari apps which were tiny! Overpriced for the quantity. The food was average at best so I would not recommend this place when there are so many other places in the N. End that are really good and have human size portions. Too pricy for this level of dining and quality of food.

Very disappointing for a north end restaurant. even though the service was excellent, my meal was tasteless and my friend's meal, supposedly a baked sausage meal was 95% pasta. We won't be going again. Having eaten in the North End probably 50 times, this was the worst.

A wonderful restaurant in the Northend. Our daughter's rehearsal dinner was held there, and the service and food were exceptional. We've had dinner there on several different occasions, and were treated equally as well. Located on Hanover Street, it's a terrific location to walk and shop.

I was searching for a place for my Son and I to take my wife for Mother's Day. I looked at the reviews on this restaurant and was a bit leery! We decided to go based on the good reviews. I'm very happy to say that I will be adding another great review of this place! The service was outstanding and the food was even better. Our reservation was at 12:30 and we were greeted warmly and sat immediately. All three of us truly enjoyed our lunch and will certainly go back again. The one comment that my Wife made is that the ladies restroom was not the cleanest.

I had heard about Fiore through a colleague and my boyfriend and I decided to try it out. Fiore highly exceeded my expectations....starting with the host, he was very friendly and even struck up a conversation with us. Once seated our waiter came over promptly and could not have been nicer. He was gracious and attentive and when I couldn't make up my mind between 2 dishes, he came up with a compromise of combining the 2! It was perfect and they did not rip me off on the price at all! My boyfriend had the salmon and said it was the best he has ever had, we both talk about eating there again soon! I cannot wait to try the roof deck when the weather gets warmer! If you are looking for great Italian food at a relatively reasonable price I highly reccomend Fiore...you will not be dissapointed!

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and it was amazing. We didn't have to wait long and the customer service was great! I ordered the chicken parm which was so big I couldn't finish. And they even came out with a chocolate cake with a candle! It was very romantic and I definitely will be back!!

I was traveling on business and had dinner with old friends. I chose the pasta with seafood at Fiore and 5 hours later I started excreting from the mouth. I excreted for 3 hours and was rushed to the Emergency Room. I am certain that I ate a piece of seafood that was uncooked or held at inappropriate temperatures. The worst part was that when I called to tell them about my dreadful experience; they did not apologize, stated that it wasn't from their kitchen and would not reverse the charge on my card. It has been 1 week to the day and they refuse to take my phone calls. The customer service is absolutely TERRIBLE. Please please do NOT eat there. You do not want to go through what I have been through!!

Stay home. Service pathetically slow. Food horrible. Waitstaff doesn't keep up on what the table needs. Food horrible! Our favorite restaurant was closed Sunday night and we wound up here. Would have preferred anything but. With all of the excellent restaurants in the North End, I am surprised this one is still in the game.

Not worth it! Restaurant was recommended by a waitress at another restaurant. My tips - don't do it if you are all about the main course. We had 7:30 reservations and were seated promptly at the rooftop - do not go when the sun is out! Also, do not sit by the bar unless you like the rowdy drunk crowwd. My husband and I are not picky eaters and are happy with anything that does not come out of a box, but I was still not impressed for the price. The appetizer, salad, and desset were great, but ordering, that was all up to us, as the waiter gave us no suggestions and was very slow. We saw other people with bread and had to ask for ours. The salad with the gorgonzola cheese and tomato was great, but main courses were ok; same thing you could get at other places for a cheaper price. If you are going to spend that money I would go to Legal Seafood by the dock - much better and far worth the money, also waitstaff there was helpful. Would I recommend if you are picky - no, but overall I had a good meal, but I believe better is out there.

I had heard good things about the restaurant. Three of us dined indoors. The service was mediocre at best and indifferent. Two of us were asked about drinks to order. Our female companion was not given time to order a drink after she asked for a moment to look at the wine menu. After our drinks were served, we had to stop the waiter to order her glass of wine. A very high priced steak dish ordered "medium" was served cold, overcooked and well done with cold potatos. A veal dish was quite overcooked and slightly hard. When the waiter asked how was everything I asked if he wanted to know the truth - the waiter then simply walked away. No one on exiting the restaurant asked about our meal. A truly indifferent wait staff and an extremely disappointing experience.

Quite possibly the worst service we have ever encountered. We made a reseration for 7:30pm on a Thursday 2 weeks in advance. We even received a call from Fiore to confirm. Upon arriving for our reservation right on time, we were told that our "table was ready, but the kitchen was backed up" and that it would be another 15 minutes. A full hour later, after having checked in several times, our table was magically ready, just as we were leaving to grab dinner at another restaurant down the street that could seat us right away. We opted to leave anyway. Needless to say, reservations don't mean anything at Fiore. Save your money and head to a more reliable restaurant!

We went there for a special night out and had quite high expectations. The ambience is great and the waiters were very friendly. However, they seemed more interested in getting us out of there as quickly as possible. As soon as I finished my plate they removed it, although my husband was still eating. For me this is unprofessional and rude, particularly if you try to be a high end restaurant. We had literally 30 sec between clearing my husband's plate from the starter and the arrival of our mains. To our surprise the food was nothing special --- the starters could have been pub food. The food was nicely arranged but lacked flavour. We will not go back there, except may be for a drink as they have a very nice bar area and the wine selection was impressive.

I had a big group of girls head to fiore for a nice dinner out. The hostess that sat us was wearing a horrible outfit and these thick glasses who seated us. She ment a rude comment about us being b#$@ as she sat us and began to walk away. We paid alot for dinner and ordered several bottles of wine for our occassional which would be fine if we were treated with an ounce of respect. I was so embarrassed to have suggested going to this place and my friends and I will not return ever again! Instead we will head to Luccas a place that treats you nicely as you should be when you're spending alot of money.

The best thing I can say about this restaurant is that the waiter could pronounce the food and wine beautifully. We went there because it was after 10--shoulda gotten a piece of pizza at Bova's. The food was ho-hum, I'm pretty sure I saw the same menu at Cantina; but there it was made by people who knew what they were doing. If you want a glamorous version of the Olive garden, you got one. People are wooed by the roof deck, and thats fine, but get your drinks and then go 50 feet away to get some good food.

Pros: Nice waiter with fast service when you're the only table

Cons: Bad food

We ate at Fiore's on a recent weekday night. We ended up downstairs by the bar rather than on the roofdeck, but I've been to the roofdeck for a drink in the past, which is a fantastic spot. It can get crowded, but it's fun if you can get a seat. The downside - the overpriced abysmal food and mediocre service.

We ordered a caprese salad for $13, with unripe tomatoes and uninspiring mozarella. The $14 pizetta with procuttio was burnt around the edges and greasy. The service was on the slow side, and it was hard to even get the waitresses' attention to get the check. I might visit the roofdeck for an overpriced drink, but I wouldn't recommend the food! There are so many good places in the North End, it's a travesty that Fiore doesn't measure up.

Pros: Great roofdeck, convenient location

Cons: Food, sometimes slow service, pricey

My friends and I love fiore! The roofdeck is amazing during the summer (if you can get there before it's packed), and the food is well worth the price.

This is one of the few places in the city of Boston that has the wonderful outdoor seating for eating and drinking. But that is about it. During the warm weather, my friends and I, usually a group of about 7+ people, will venture to Fiore for dinner and/or drinks. The servers, bar people, hostess, and even management are SO RUDE! If it wasnt for the drinks that put most people in a happy mood, I think more people would raise these issues while they were there. The drinks are pathetic and small, with no consistency as to how the drink should actually be made...and yet they charge a ridiculous amount for each. The food is barely Italian. I got ice cold water from the plate of oysters spilled all over the table and my legs and shoes, without even a look of acknowledgement from the server.

Fiore is a great place. Some friends and I had a fabulous time here. The menu choices are good. There's so much variety to choose from! I recommend the lasagna. It was very good. The staff here is very accomodating and friendly...very customer service oriented. Parking is not so great in the North End but other than that Fiore is great. I would highly recommend dinner here.

I can't say enough good things about how much we enjoyed our first trip to this restaurant. The food was a 10 out of 10 for quality, quantity, and presentation. The staff, from management to our server, went out of their way to make it a memorable evening. To the staff, we say thank you and see you soon.

We had a reservation for two and were seated at a terrible table, despite plenty of empty tables nearby. It was right by a door to the service area and at the top of the stairs, in a really high-traffic area. We kept having to watch our heads as trays of food were carried by. Food was average in quality, and too expensive given the quality. Service was very slow...we were there for almost two hours, even though we only had an appetizer and entrees. There is valet parking, but we waited almost 30 minutes for our car. There are too many good restaurants in the North End to waste a meal on an average place. We wont be back.

Last night, a Tuesday, we ate at Fiore. Patio seating, server stopped by for the first time about 10-15 minutes later. We immediately ordered drinks, antipasti and meal at that point since we'd had plenty of time to look at the menu. Drinks took over 15 minutes, and as we watched bread make it's way to other tables, none ever stopped at ours. I watched two antipasti dishes sit outside for 10 minutes only to find out they were ours, but not what we'd ordered. When I questioned the order, I was told that was what we'd ordered. We sent it back saying we must have mistakenly expected wrong thing, only to have the correct dish end up at our table 5 minutes later! Dinner was mediocre at best, pasta amusingly bad for Italian restaurant. Truly a dining disaster.

Reservations mean nothing at Fiore. Upon arrival we were greeted with the news that there was no reservation for us. They suggested we wait 20 minutes for a table. At 9 when pressed they admitted that they knew we had a reservation but there would be another 20 minute wait for our table spent the next hour sitting at the bar with bartender who went out of his way to ignore us.The mixed drinks undrinkable threw them away and ordered wine and beer instead.
Our server received great reviews from one end of the table but ignored the second end of the table While our food orders came correctly the waiter had no idea who the dishes were for a restaurant in the North End its an embarrassment, meals tasteless and bland pasta over/under done. At no point did anyone on the staff apologize for the inconvenience.

We went to Fiore for my birthday and had a terrible experience. The dining room was so noisy we could barely hear each other speak and it took the waitstaff an hour and a half to get us our main course. The food was good but not worth the aggrivation.

Great food, blown away by the roof deck. I have to say the best meal I have ever had in Boston. Only one negative. I found the service wasn't up to snuff. Delecious drinks at the bar, but the bartenders could use a little bit more personality. Even with that, check this place out!

We had our wedding reception here in June and it was beautiful. The coordination for everything didn't begin until April since we had to relocate the cereomony, but the staff was very accomodating. We had to use the upstairs dining room and roof to fit all of the guests, but it was a sunny day and nobody minded sitting outside near the bar! After a miserable experience at the Warren Tavern for the rehearsal dinner, Fiore more than made up for it with perfect food and service. Thank you!

Four of us arrived for dinner on a very busy night.
We received a gracious greating, were seated immediately, and benefitted from the very professional and personalized service of the wait staff. All courses were delivered timely and perfectly and encouraged us to have a very relaxed evening. The food (especially the desert) was fresh, attractive and prepared with thought.
I was very pleased with our choice and can't wait to go back and enjoy the roof top dining.

Love the food and the patio during the Summer. Great choice and good value. Should be more outdoor dining like it in Boston!

This restaurant is a fabulous addition to the North End. It's the ONLY restaurant in the North End with outdoor dining, as it features a street-level patio plus a roof deck! On a nice, warm evening, definitely ask to be seated outside, although the interior dining rooms are wonderful as well. Fiore is great for functions and other special occasions, as they are easily capable of handling large parties. The food and wine selection are terrific, plus the service is top-notch. It's a place where you'll want to go back to over and over again!
