i visited 29th dec 2010 the salon for get my hair straight, i followed all the instructions which the hair stylist gave me but after 72 hours my hair changed as they were before.i spent around 400$ for that treatment n the hair stylist promised me they'll be straight forever but.. only on third day they changed. I came from India recently.can somebody suggest me what should i do, i went to the salon n the hair stylist said she can't do anything i have to talk with owner plz help me

This salon is over-priced. I used to go there, but I was charged a different about each time I went for the same cut and color. My daughter went there for a prom up-do that cost over 100. I do not go there anymore.

Yes, it's expensive, but worth it. (Cut, highlights, color, shampoo & blow dry cost in excess of $120). I took the stylist's advice and adore the cut and the color. It's taken 5 years off of me. The atmosphere is friendly and informal, yet the service is professional. The stylist does everything from the color to the cut to the shampoo, too. I've paid just as much at other salons without getting the wow factor I got from here.

Aura is a great place if you need any spa services done. I would call a week in advance to get a reservation, because they can book up. I was very happy with the results and plan to return, because they treated me with respect. The salon technicians were very well dressed and they were professional with the services I had done. Its great to go somewhere where you feel comfortable and taken care of.
PROS: great service

One word for Kerin @ Aura Salon: Amazing!! It was a godsend to find this salon and have Kerin as my stylist. I live out west and my hair behaves very badly when back east, which brought on the stupid decision to buy a bottle of color and put it on one night while on vacation in MA. Well, my hair turned a greenish brown. I made an appt at Aura the first thing the next day and as soon as I met Kerin I knew the rest of my vacation would not be ruined. She said she would take care of it, explained what she was doing and why. Not once did I feel judged by her! After she neutralized the green, (seriously people, I could have been in the cast of Wicked!) she put in two colors that we agreed upon and all the while she was friendly and so professional. And I might add she naturally looks like Carrie Bradshaw wishes she looked!!! Cute and so positive. I was treated to a very special morning of color, cut and a new me and came out gorgeous! My son and husband walked in and knew by my big smile that I felt great. Thanks, Kerin! Please, please go see her - she is fantastic and your hair and self esteem will thank you!! p.s. rates were great, also.

I recently moved to the South Shore area and found Aura Salon in the yellow pages.
The salon was clean, modern, and the prices were competitive with the area.
On entering the Salon I was warmly greeted not once, but several times.
I did not wait to long for a stylist named Susan who is also the owner.
Not sure what I really wanted for a color and cut, Susan made several suggestions and showed me some styles. I went with a new color with some foils and a layered cut. I love my new look. I felt really relax and confident with Susan and the salon. The girl who shampooed my hair was amazing. She massaged my head and it was great! From start to finish my experience at Aura was terrific.
I highly recommend Aura Salon!
Pros: Convenient location and parking was a plus in the back of salon
