Usually I bring Tom a pile of amps at a time, tell him my priorities, and he sorts me out. Turnaround time can be 10 days to a few weeks, depending on how busy they are, but if you need something in a hurry Tom can usually accommodate you.
Solid service and no b.s., I always bring my precious tube gear here!
Just remember that they are closed sunday and monday and make sure you plan that way. Oh, and it is good to call ahead.

I've been using this place for years as a media professional. They are inexpensive and do a good job. They will look for ways to save you money. They are busy, but will fix almost anything. They can be a little gruff, but so am I.

I have no idea why this business could ever get a bad review. I and my American buddies have been using their services for 20 years or so and we have never had a problem. The work is excellent, the pricing is correct and the service is

I have had a couple of repairs made, and decided against a couple with their help. Anyone who has stepped in this place knows that they are legit because of the amount of work going on. Best for TLC on tube amps, but I have had solid state and a tape machine fixed too.

I've had equipment dealings with Aztech since the mid 1980's. Tom and his technicians know what they're doing and how to fix things. They've been doing it forever and wouldn't still be in business if they made a practice of ripping people off. Repair can be expensive and Tom & crew will level with you about that when you bring your equipment in.
You can tell one of the reviewers below is not "just being honest" when in one sentence he says a wire simply needed to be plugged in and the next he says that GC reimbursed him for something defective. And the other reviewer is upset that he had to pay someone for something he felt he could have done by himself.
Aztech will go over minimum bench charges, rush charges, and the like when you come in. They can't know how much a repair will cost until a tech takes apart your unit and spends some time with it. Sometimes it gets expensive. But Aztech has been in business this long because they do good work and have always been fair with customers.

I'm not surprised I had a problem with Aztech last year, I should have posted sooner. You have to be really careful before you drop anything off and have the estimate clearly written out. My problem was similar to your as I was overcharged for labor for a simple repair that I could have and should have done myself. It sounds as though they held your instrument hostage and had you by the b***s. At least things worked out for you in the end. I will agree with you though, I would not recommend Aztech to anyone and I will never go back there again.

I've used Tom and Aztec's services many times for about 15 years and I've always been pleased and satisfied with his service. Items are always finished on time and I don't need to bring stuff back anytime soon there after. I find what's being said here very hard to believe from my experience with this company. Maybe he didn't get paid by the manufacturer. Remember Aztec is not the company you bought your product from.

Update:

Nothing fishy here my friend... just being honest.
I just picked up my equipment, it was a $20 wire, the labor was $50 plus some extra "rush" charges whatever that means. I had to pay out of pocket $78.00 for a simple wire than had to be plugged in... not rocket science. The real problem was they led me to believe they would fix it and it would be covered under warranty, but after they fixed it (plugged the wire in) they demanded the money and said it wasn't covered and I couldn't get the equipment back. I asked them to take the wire off and just give me the equipment back but apparently the labor was too involved they refused. (crazy) In the end I complained to Guitar Center (where I purchased the equipment) and they apologized for my problems with Aztec and the defective part and reimbursed me. I just learned a valuable lesson about getting ripped off.

"Be weary of this place!!!!!!!! Complete rip off, they refuse to return an instrument I had repaired that was covered under warranty after they got authorization to fix it. Now they won't return it to me unless I pay them, so they get paid twice?????.... I don't know what to do, but I will file in small claims. It's too bad there are so many shady people in business these days."

Always honest, fair and reliable. They don't make promises they can't keep and they do great solid work. Whenever anything breaks, I go to Aztech. I love Tom!

AZTECH Electronics...5 Star service, pricing and personal service not usually found anymore...Tom will take good care of your electronics...my MARSHALL head (80's LEAD 100 MOSFET) sounds like it just came out of the factory...I was literally grinning from ear to ear after getting it home and back on the stack...my sick electronics have found a new doctor. Just don't ask him to sell you the Telecaster...I'm ahead of you on the list...:)

Easy to find location, Tom got the head done way ahead of the promised date...THANKS!!!
