I have been a member of Pine Valley for about 5 years, but this will be my last year. It has been a disappointing experience because while it has a lot to offer for kids - Gator Walk, Water slide, sandbox, splash zone, there are so many issues with the way it is run that my family and I will no longer be joining.

It is not well kept, the bathrooms are always dirty and things always seem broken. There are tons of bugs and ants everywhere. I expect a few bugs since we are outside, but this place is over run with bugs. When the amenities break, sometimes they are not fixed for weeks. The frog slide in the kiddie pool was broken for the entire month of August one summer. When I inquired, I was told "well summer's almost over". At that point I had little kids who only went in the kiddie pool and without the slide it wasn't nearly as fun.

The areas surrounding the pool are very rundown and just in need of a face lift especially the bathrooms. The hooks on the wall to hang your bags were broken the first week of the summer and are still not replaced. One of the showers didn't have running water the first week of summer. It is just so frustrating to spend so much money to enjoy the pool and have so many disappointments each time we go.

I have been trying to overlook the dirty unkept areas and broken items, but the final straw was the fact that this year they decreased the hours and started opening later without notifying members. They seem to modify their hours at will. We went to the pool this week at the posted hour of 11am only to find out that this week its not opening until 12pm. I had some very disappointed children.

My family and I are searching for a new pool to go to next summer.

Pine Valley is the highlight of my year. I am counting down the days (4) until the pool opens this year. I have made so many friends there and it really is a relaxing, "Jimmy Buffet" style atmosphere.

Overall I'd recommend this swim club to everyone. My friends and I bbq at a nice part of the pool out of the way of everything else so it's just my friends and I. Although the pool food is pretty good too. The pool is big and kids can have

All the kids have so much fun at the pool. I have made so many friends and all the workers are very friendly. I wait all winter for the summer months so I can enjoy my time at Pine Valley.

When I first applied to be a member at Pinevalley, I thought it would be at least somewhat exclusive due to the pricey $800 membership for both my husband and I. I was SO wrong. They should advertise this place for what it is: summer

Agree with Matthew B. Our family has been disappointed with the club. It is not at all what they promised when we were signing up. Service is very frustrating, and the pools keep getting dirtier as the summer progresses. We will look elsewhere net summer.

Pine Valley is a nice swim club. But it is plagued with problems. First off it is horribly managed in general. It is often quite dirty, the bathrooms stink of urine and the kiddie pool is always filled with sand from the sandbox play area. If you ever want to go during the week, forget about it. The place is overrun with camp kids running about freely unsupervised. Or at least I should say supervised only by other kids. Having a small child, you have to be on the watch for the "camp kids" who will knock over and trample on anything and everything. If you want to get a bite to eat there be prepared to wait about 45 minutes for a grilled cheese. I have been a member there for about 6 years, and I can say this year will be my last. It is a shame. My family and I really liked the place, but it has really fallen apart over the past few years and has become increasingly frustrating to go there. If you have older kids, only want to go on the weekends, bring your own food and don't mind smelly dirty bathrooms, then you might enjoy it. Otherwise, you might want to look somewhere else. I just wish that wasn't the case.

Pros: Pool, waterslide, and kiddie pool

Cons: Horribly managed, dirty, food service takes for ever

Pine Valley is a very nice and quiet little club that is worth your time to check out. They have a good number of tennis courts for you to use if you become a member, as well as a very nice pool. The staff there are very nice and you feel welcomed into the community and it is very easy to connect with nice people and make friends. I would definitely recommend Pine Valley if you are looking to join this type of club.
