Each year my families and I come to Valley veiw farms.As we made it our tradition to purchase bulbs for our trees.Each child chooses a special bulb and its bought for their Christmas tree.Our trees are decorated by the children.They may not be perfect but in the eyes of the children they are.I am 48 years old n Valley Veiw Farms has been my family tradition as long and far back as I can remember.Now I get to sit back and watch my child take over with the same traditions but she must also add one.To watch the wonder and merriment of the childrens faces has always been a joy I don't ever wish to miss.Thanks Valley veiw for all the wonderful years and smiles with memories!.

The Valley View Farms is a big store that is great with selections and price. Inside you can get a variety of things necessary for a country life-- soil, seeds, tools, some decor. What more does a person need? The prices are fair, and the atmosphere can't be beat. Valley View has everything you need for your garden and more. I have bought so many shrubs here and proud to say they are all still alive. The employees were extremely helpful and even helped me determine the proper time to plant my shrubs and what would work best. What a great landscaping and gardening store.

Valley View is a popular place but their prices tend to be higher than competitors'. Service can be very spotty, too. I was there recently looking for a particular tool and I wandered through the entire inside shop, which is huge, without encountering a single employee! I didn't find the tool, either. This was in early October and almost the entire shop was set up with Christmas displays. LIghting was dim so that the decorative lights looked brighter and there was loud music playing. It was very irritating. I left and passed four or five employees standing around talking in the parking lot on my way out.

After summer has passed the stock shifts to Halloween and Christmas decorations. Items are available from all over the world in the Christmas shop. Displays include collectible houses, trees full of ornaments, nutcrackers, music boxes, plants in the greenhouse ......and more. The prices are not low, but it is fun to visit.

Valley View Farms is a wonderful nursery for all your flower and shub needs. They have a HUGE selection of shrubs, hedges, trees, perrenials, annuals, seeds, tools, etc. But my favorite time of the year to visit Valley View Farms in Christmas. The whole place is decorated in beautiful Christmas lights. They have a huge selection of decorations for your trees, as well as probably 2 dozen decorated trees so you can see the decorations in use. They have a great international Christmas shop. But my favorite is their selection of Department 56 villages. They have a beautiful village set up with all the building and accessories available to buy. Just fantastic.
PROS: Christmas!
CONS: Plants can be on the pricey side, but they are always healthy.

You simply must stop by Valley View Farms during Christmastime. They have the best selection of trees, ornaments, wreatsh, and decorations. Their displays are simply incredible, they have literally hundreds of decorated trees on display, all decorated with a different theme. They also have a room devoted strictly to Christmas traditions of different cultures. During the summer they have the most incredible variety of plants--anything you can think of, you'll find here. They have everything from hard-to-find zosia grass to your every day marigold. The prices are steep, but they're absolutely worth it--everything is healthy, vibrant, and thriving. The on-location pond is INCREDIBLE. They have the most gorgeous fish and pond plants, and the fish swim right up to you. They are truely the most beautiful koi you'll see anywhere. They have garden decorations you won't be able to find anywhere else, and the best selection of pond life, including koi, snails, tadpoles, and goldfish. I highly recomend this place.

We use this nursery for plants and seedlings. Its a big place,and during the holidays they always have it lit up for Halloween and Christmas with special activities and events for the kids.One of their garden specialists is on the noon news on local tv regularly answering questions.So if your in the market for new plants or trees check them out.

If you want to entertain the kids during the holiday season, take them to see the light display. They put on quite a display. There is also an awesome tree display. The have a large dept 56 display as well. Lots of unique holiday items.
As for plants, they do have a large variety as well as an interesting pond display. I found them a little pricey, but the staff knows what they're talking about.

This is one of the best places to buy Christmas decorations that I have ever visited. They saw theme trees through the center.
As well, they have great Halloween decor and pumpkins; try some of the apple cider if you stop by, it's great!
We bought a plant there and it was not healthy the next week; I called for help on nursing it, they told me to bring it back to exchange! I didnt even have my receipt and they swapped it for a healthier plant.

If you enjoy looking at festive Christmas displays then this is a place to go. My family and I love to go to Valley View Farms at Christmas time and see all the trees and decorations. It has become a tradition that we go every year and pick out an ornament and then go get something to eat.
The assortment of ornaments and other decorations at Christmas is huge. ANy kind of decoration you can think of, they have. From baby trees, sport s trees, fishing trees, etc... They also have beautiful hand made bows for wreaths, hearths, or doors. The evergreens outside smell so fresh you feel like you are in a winter wonderland.
It can get crowded during the holidays, so leave your coat and big backpacks/purses in the car so you can go down the aisles easier. If you go on a Friday or another weekend day, try to go in the late afternoon, it doesn't seem to be as crowded then.

Valley View is a large nursery in the middle of the commercial section of Cockeysville. It is more of a commercial garden center, fully blacktopped, so no wading out through mud to find the perfect plant. But the containers/roots do tend to be drier than those found at a growing nursery.
They have an excellent selection of annuals, perrenials, shrubs, and small trees. They put out the plants as they come into season, so you truly see what you are going to get. They do not tend to have the more unusual plants or specimen trees for that unusual focal point. But their plants are very good.
In the winter, they turn their indoor garden center into an AMAZING display of holiday decor, with every imaginable ornament, tree topper, etc. Much of it is organized very well, a tree display for ornaments for teachers, a tree displaying ornaments for animals, etc. We found beautiful irish angel ornaments last year as a gift for a collector, and they were ecstatic. A MUST see for the holidays.

If you are looking for the best in landscaping items, Valley View is the place to go. They have great shrubs and trees that appear to be in excellent condition. I've never had a problem with any plant or tree from here. Also, this is the place for Christmas trees and decorations..stop by the day after Christmas and you can get some amazing deals...but get there early people lineup early for that sale!!

This place has been around for quite a while. They always have a huge selection and their prices are very reasonable. The best time to go is around the holidays when they set up christmas trees decorated in various styles. There is also a shop to get refreshments and items like nuts and candies. There is ample parking and they're easy to find.

Valley View Farms is an outstanding place to visit and shop, especially during the holidays. The place is all lit up at night and kids will love all there is to see. They have a huge selection of decorations and supplies, as well as a pretty nice garden center. The prices do tend to be a little high, but the quality of the items is excellent and they can last you for years to come. A great holiday trip for the family. You'll have fun at Valley View.

Valley View Farms is a Baltimore-area institution, even if it is not right in the city - and with good reason. They are a quick but scenic drive from the city and surrounded by farms and countryside. Just getting there is relaxing. There is loads of parking and they're never crowded, even during the busy Christmas season. There is a great mix of plants and garden miscellanea, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Prices are a little high, but not unreasonable. An especially good store for someone like me, whose thumb needs a little help to be green!

Valley View Farms is a wonderful nursery packed full of all different types of flowers. There, you can find items you cannot find anywhere else. Their Christmas display is outstanding and probably one of the best in this area. However, their prices are a bit high, and I do not buy from them as a general rule, unless I find something really special that I can't live without.
