Finally--a vet with the knowledge to help my kitty!  5 Star Rating - World class

I have had a cat with chronic vomiting and facial itchiness for going on 4 years now. I've been to many vets in the Baltimore area and have heard everything from "she may have liver failure" to "we should probably do exploratory surgery," and at one point settled on the advice of the Big Vet Clinic in this area who had convinced me that the only thing to keep my kitty marginally healthy was to purchase outrageously expensive cat food that I could only buy from them.

Then a friend recommended Beltway. I took my cat to see Dr. Smith, and in literally minutes, he had given me a definitive diagnosis and suggested a course of treatment that has not only been successful in keeping my cat from being sickly-thin, but has also made her able to begin eating normal cat food without vomiting. It's bee almost two months since I first saw Dr. Smith, and my cat has never been healthier. She's actually getting kind of pudgy--unheard of for my little skeleton-cat!

I am fully convinced that Beltway Animal Hospital provides the best veterinary care in the Baltimore area. I will never take my animals anywhere else.

Best Animal Hospital Ever  5 Star Rating - World class

I actually stumbled upon this place just calling around. Let me say I was very pleased with the service. I had my cat de-clawed and I wanted to make sure my cat was taken good care of. Not only was the price affordable, but when I went to pick up my cat, he acted as if he didn't even have surgery. He was up walking around the same day we brought him home. To this day he is fine, running around the house, and silly as ever. I would recommend this clinic to anyone!

Linda  5 Star Rating - World class

I am so happy to have found this vet. It was by word of mouth. They have been helpful, caring, and got me to put my dogs on a diet, something people have trouble doing. My shelties are healthy because of this. They have answered questions over the phone and their prices are reasonable unlike other vets in the area.

Hands Down the best  5 Star Rating - World class

I work at a veterinary clinic, but take my pets to see Dr. Shortall and Dr. Smith, That pair will give you more vet for the buck than any other vet around, Sure you will always have an unhappy client no matter what business you are in, Especially when you don't take care of your pet and expect a miracle. No-one will ever touch my trio of Schipperkes except Beltway.

Great place  5 Star Rating - World class

This Animal Hospital is a great place to take your pet when they need to visit the vet for a routine check up. Not only does the animal hospital deal with traditional animal like cats and dogs, they also take care of more exotic animals like reptiles They take great care of animals and if you take your pet(s) there, they will be in good hands. I take my dogs here every year to receive their shots . I am always happy with the staff and the doctors attention to detail. I would recommend going here before going to surrounding areas places. This staff is great and they care about your animals unlike numerous other area hospitals.

Great Vets  5 Star Rating - World class

I had my first experience with Beltway over 30 years ago when I had my first two cats. Considering they were California cats with attitudes, they didn't mind going to the vets...once they forgave me for getting them "Fixed".
Now I have 2 cats that are 9 years old and a Shiba Inu mix almost 3 years old, I still take them there. My male cat had an eye infection that had gotten very bad in a very short amount of time. I took him to Beltway and the vet said there was a chance he could lose his eye. I mean it was bad! I told the vet that I couldn't afford much and he gave me drops and I followed the orders. He saved my cats eye and was synpathetic to my financial situation. I love those guys there. They're friendly and helpful. I highly recommend them!!!!!!!

Great Pet Kennel & Hopsital  5 Star Rating - World class

This is the only place my dad has used for years. He used to use another vet and for a weekend away it would cost him a fortune for his dog. Now he uses Beltway, and they are much better priced and friendlier staff. I've gone in many times to pick up my dad's dog on Sunday. Their hours are shorter on Sunday but you do get the opportunity to pick up your pet. Every time I go in I'm greeted with a smile! The dog is always well cared for and they even will help me get her to the car! They let me pick up my dad's animals so long as I pay if there is money owed. Their medications are much cheaper than other vets. My dad compared the prices from them and his last vet and Beltway was cheaper every time for the same exact medication.

PROS: Great location, Great prices, Awesome vets!
CONS: Who wants to have a sick animal?

A doctor only looking to make a buck  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

Attn Everyone:
If you sincerely care for your pet, do not go to this place. The doctor examined my cat and just by looking at him said he probably had cancer. Well I am not a medical professional but my parents are, and they told me that's impossible. Then he told me that the cat would need to stay over night. Futhermore, he had x-rays done to make more money.. Then he said my cat definitely had cancer and he should be put to sleep. Well we decided to give my cat some antibiotics and my cat was much better. We took the cat to another vet and he said that the cat didn't have cancer. So I realized that this doctor who I had originally went to just wanted to make extra money at the expense of my cat's live. He even told me, " Do you really want your cat to suffer?" This doctor is an absolute moron and if you want your pet to die then by all means go to him.

PROS: None
CONS: They care to make money and nothing else...
