Esterman Estate Jewelers

I don't know what David W is talking about, I have brought scrap gold to Esterman's many times and received excellent value for all my 10K, 14K, 18K, 22K, and 24K pieces. They were very friendly and even let me watch them test the gold in their back room! I think the management is outstanding and the sales staff are true professionals. My family has shopped there for many years and will continue do do so for a long long time. Estermans is the best jewelry store in the MD/DC area!

My family has shopped here for over 25 years. That will not happen again. Under new management for about 13 years, the quality (and honesty) have suffered. I was offered a ridiculously low amount for gold jewelry I was selling. They offered less than 1/2 of the scrap value for nice, clean (some nearly new) pieces they could sell for at least 3-4 times what they offered. I was offered nearly double the Esterman's offer at a pawn shop. Two other stores tested my pieces and one large bracelet that Esterman's claimed they tested at 14k was really 18k. At 55 grams, that is a difference of $270 in scrap gold value. They tried to cheat me and make a 100 - 300% profit. Avoid this store!!!!

Amazing staff and styles. This is where I got mymother her silver diamond necklace for such a great price. They are beautiful and classy styles for just about anything!!!! I would def., and without hesitation, recommend this store to anyone!
