I have never experienced as awful service as this. Going into the clinic I felt that the staff was very stand offish and the fact that after spending more than 1,000 dollars on my sick cat they could not give me a diagnosis on him who they said would be have to be put down soon. They did not seem to care and I felt very frustrated at the fact that they were not going to do anything further for my cat. After finding a new vet, the Banfield Hospital in the PetSmart in Abingdon, my cat is continuing to get better as we have been treating him for Renal (kidney) failure. This vet has not even called to see if my cat has been doing better where the vet from Banfield has called numerous amounts of times and has shown a lot of compassion for my frustrated self. Pretty much restored my faith in vets after Dr. Lomax of the Festival Veterinary Clinic. I plead everyone not to take there pets here! If there was a zero star option I would have clicked that.

I went to this vet for a few years and every time I left I told myself that I was never going back. Needless to say I finally left that practice and I couldn??t be more satisfied with my new practice in Abingdon. I just got the feeling that they did EVERYTHING possible to hike up my bill. The docs are nice and knowledgeable but I still couldn??t shake the feeling that it was only about money. It seemed that when I couldn??t fork over $300 for all of my dogs shots at once they looked at you like you are a terrible pet owner. I love my dog, and I always find a way to get him what he needs, but I may not be able to afford everything in one day. I just always left there spending so much more then I could have ever expected and feeling like they looked down on me for not being able to do every single test recommended. I have spoken with a several other people in my neighborhood who left this vet for the same reason.

I have been going to Festival Bel Air Veterinary for a long time now and haven't had no complaints. They were very caring,Our family just lost our cat a few months ago, we only had him 1 year he got very sick and died from a very bad disease which was 100% fatal. We had to make the decision that nobody wants to make, but we couldn't watch him suffer any longer. My family was in tears and Dr. Finley comfort us while also in tears.I want to thank her for taking good care of our pets and know that we will always trust her care as well as everyone else at Festival Bel Air.

Our primary vet is Dr. Lomax at Festival. He takes the time to learn everything he can about your animals. We have 2 cats and a Rottweiler that we adopted from a rescue. Our first cat is extremely large. When he was a kitten we thought that he was a she. Dr. Lomax informed us that his testes were stuck inside but they should drop on their own. By having his testes stuck, his body produced more testosterone making him a large cat. He's currently 22 pounds. Although he does need to loose weight, Dr. Lomax said he should be around 19 pounds. A few years ago, he developed urinary crystals that blocked his system and he could have died had it not been caught early. Dr. Lomax has him on a special food that helps with this and he has not had urinary blockages since. This cat has recently been diagnosed with diabetes and Dr. Lomax spent completely educated us on feline diabetes and at our last appointment when we were learning to give the injections, Dr. Lomax spent over an hour with us to answer all of our questions and to teach us how to administer the insulin. Our other cat has allergies to just about anything. He reacts to different allergens by having his paws get infected and he also gets miliary dermatitis on his hind legs. Dr. Lomax worked with us to identify what was causing the allergens and did this in a common sense approach. Dr. Lomax is very down to earth and tries to get at the root of a problem. Other vets simply turn to prescriptions and medicate symptoms in hopes that things will get better. Not Dr. Lomax. Our dog that we adopted this year is a senior Rottweiler. She has severe arthritis in her lower spine (spondylosis) and has had to have several lumps removed and a tooth pulled. She's on an omega oil and joint supplement that she gets daily and you would never know that she has a problem with her spine.I've checked the price of the insulin, the joint supplement (dasquin), the oil (welactin), the heart worm preventive (interceptor), and the flee/tick med (advantix) against the price that you can find on sites like petmeds, etc. Dr. Lomax is continually at or below those prices and the prices he charges for surgery, wellness visits, and all other services are VERY economical. I am always pleasantly surprised that my bill is far less than what I expect. If I need to see the vet immediately there is always someone there that I can see or talk to. In the absence of Dr. Lomax I will have my babies see Dr. Finley, Dr. Hubbard, and Dr. Morgan. These ladies are great! Drs. Lomax, Finley, Hubbard, and Morgan are truly knowledgeable and are in it for the love of animals. They are the best!

I recently adopted a dog that had hives located all over her back. I spoke to the owners before me and they said that they took her to the Aberdeen Veterinary Clinic and they said she just had allergies that she needs her prescription refilled. So, I made an appointment at the Aberdeen location (since she was already seen at their office) and as soon as the doctor walked in the room said it was allergies. She didn't take any exams/etc. So I purchased two prescriptions for "allergies" and I had her on them for a month, No improvement! I took her to the Sommer Set groomers and the lady said that my dog smells like she has a yeast infection and I should see my vet immediately. Since I just recently took her to the vet and them not noticing it and her hives are still active I decided to come to the Festival of Bel Air.

The Festival of Bel Air, made us an appointment and had us in the NEXT day! We seen Dr.Morgan and she was wonderful. She took her time and asked me plenty of questions to get an idea of how the hives are bothering her. The doctor said just by looking at her and from my description that she had a good idea of what it could be. She asked me if it was ok to do a skin scrape and I agreed and come to find out the doctor was exactly right to what she thought it could be(which was a micro bug that lives in skin and is genetic). The Doctor even brought me to the back room and let me view the bugs through the microscope. She said that my dog does have a yeast infection due to the bugs flaring up her skin which spread to vaginal area. They gave me 2 medications and told me how long she would have to be treated and they also provided me with a shampoo to help with her yeast infection. The staff went over how often and many to give my dog a day. The staff was very courteous and helpful!

I was very pleased how they got us in right away, how caring and loving they were with my dog and the office was very clean. Also, the education the vet provided me. I would definitely recommend to others!

I always had a great experience at this clinic until my dog died the doctor said he would probably live another year and then comes out and says he's dead no emotion nothing I couldn't even believe how heartless the staff is. very unhappy those people should be ashamed of themselves acting like a pet dying means nothing.

We took our dog in to another hospital to have a tumor removed. They were not able to do the procedure for several days, and over the weekend our dog started bleeding heavily from the tumor, and was continually licking and pawing at the area. She was in a great deal of pain, and obviously making everything worse.

Late Saturday evening, we rushed her to the Festival clinic. They took her immediately, stabilized her, ran tests our other vet hadn't, removed what they were able of the infection, started her on a different and broader range of antibiotic, and then consulted with our regular vet throughout the following week to follow up with them directly and provide consistent treatment. Our dog recovered fully.

I highly recommend this clinic for emergency care.
