As a former employee of DFR, I can say that the scripts I read are absolutely true. Unfortunately there is alot more going wrong behind the scenes. I resigned because the administration absolutely sucks and there was way too much in the way of non-professionalism. Most of the employee's are good, but there a few that aren't. The office can't run adequately as long as certain administrators are there. They know who they are.
The service is very much needed and it's an absolute shame it in jepordy of closing. I'm not surprised at all. I was always curious how long it would take for misdoings to catch up with them.

Maybe that ex LPN won't be practicing much longer as she didn't know her own scope of practice. There usually is always more than one side of the story. Thanks for the change DFR !

It has always concerned me as to how a non-medical person can write prescriptions for the doctor. What is wrong with this picture Don't the doctors care. There is no privacy what ever is discussed with people the waiting room hears all. I now understand that there is no longer a nurse there. I see this company closing which is a shame. This is a mental health practice and it seems to me that they should know how to be more concerned about their patients.

There is a waiting list. I told me to call back in 3 months to get scheduled.I found Lighthouse Christian Counseling in Centreville Maryland. They are professionals and they were able to schedule my family in right away. They have been very helpful my our family issues.

Cons: not organized and friedly

I've been going there for nearly two years and am just now getting the courage together to leave the mess that has become so familiar. I left one "medication specialist" when my general practitioner suggested I do so and went to one at the same office that he recommended. I have never been on the same medication two months in a row, although my diagnosis stays the same. I generally wait 30 mins to an hour after my scheduled appt time to be seen and every single time I've been in a drug rep is in the waiting room with me- sometimes they're called in before I am. I've learned to look up my prescriptions before I fill them. Sometimes they have little or nothing to do with my condition. Side effects (some frequently associated with the various medications I'm prescribed include uncontrolled muscle movements, night terrors and hallucinations) are never discussed in the office, but usually not worth the risk to me. Appointments usually last from two to ten minutes. There is not a clock, notepad, pen or stapler without a pharmaceutical company's logo on it. You owe it to yourself; don't get involved in the Delmarva Family Resources chain.

Most of the counselors appear to need more help than their patients. Office is disorganized, doctor is always behind schedule, and they have failed on at least one occasion to report to the appropriate agencies "reasonable suspicion" of sex abuse against a child when it was reported by the victim.
