Rumors Retreat Salon

I took the rare opportunity of free time and turned it into a me day. It was my first visit to Rumors and the staff made me feel like I had always been coming there. The massage was great! My nails look beautiful and I love the polish they use. A nice cup of hot tea was very much appreciated on such a cold day, too. I had gone to a spa/salon in mid AA County for years (family worked there). I won't be making that drive anymore. The fees are less than the other spa, too. With today's economy, that's a double win for me! I will be giving Rumors gift certificates this holiday season to some very lucky family! Ho Ho Ho, made my shopping easier :)

I was fortunate enough to be invited by a friend to attend the special affair on 10/20 supporting Breast Cancer Awareness. It was so enjoyable.... great services, food and new friends! I have been to a lot of Salons and Spas and never felt as comfortable as I was there. They made you feel as thought you had been coming there for years. I also, with a little coaxing :) agreed to get my haircut. It was the best haircut experience I have ever had. We all normally hesitate when it comes to a new look but with Katie, I felt so comfortable. She reassured me that it would be a look that fit me and I have NEVER received as many COMPLIMENTS on my hair as this time! I have found a new look and a new salon that I will be spending lots of time at! It's a place you must visit! It is inviting, clean, offers all services, is not stuffy :) and a has great staff!

I met the owner during a rough period in her life....I was with her when her mom went to heaven. We bonded immediately and she has been my friend ever since. Being a girlie girl, I color my hair, get mani-pedi's and the older I get and the closer I get to gravity I am tipping my toes into the Skin RX world. I was introduced to the doctors and toured the new salon and was pleasantly surprised at how a place this beautiful was right down the street. I leave with my hair looking exaclty the way I want it and with a gorgeous color. Are they a little pricey???Maybe, but this is for me. I work hard and I've stopped feeling guilty about treating myself to wanting to take good care of myself. Sure its only $12 to color you hair out of a box, but it looks like it when Im done. I've been coloring my hair since 1979 and I have spent from $10 to $200 to color and cut my hair and this is by far the best place for color. The first time I went in to the salon I took in a picture of the color I wanted and she matched it perfectly. It's nice walking out of a salon feeling good about yourself and to me that is worth every penny.

Had a great experience with the Skin Rx doc Dr. Easley She can help with laser hair removal, peels, botox, etc. Very professional and knowledgeable. And they don't push products/procedures that you don't need.

I've been going to Rumors for well over 10 years. Sure there have been a few times when things were to hectic there, but the majority of the time they are right on schedule. I feel very welcomed there, and it just isn't because I've been going so long, I've witnessed people coming in for the first time and they are also warmly greeted. For me, I rarely take advantage of the beverages or snacks, but I think it is a very nice touch. My hair is important to me, and I wouldn't go if I was not receiving excellent cuts. There have been times I've needed a trim when my stylist was on vacation and I have used someone else, and that has turned out really good too. The decor is very nice and inviting, which has a relaxing effect when you walk through the door. At my recommendation, my daughter in law had her hair done for her wedding. When she went for a preview appointment, she felt like the stylist just wasn't understanding exactly what she had in mind. The owner, wanting 100% satisfaction, switched stylists, and my daughter in law felt more connected to the 2nd stylist and was thrilled with her hair, for both her preview and her wedding day. I guess anyone can find something to complain about any where they go, but I can confidently recommend Rumors and all of the services they provide!

Absolutley a wonderful experience!! This salon/spa is a great place & has a wide variety of fantastic services. The ladies who work here are so pleasant and you can just tell that they love their job! The location is so convienent - it's great to have such a nice place so close to home. I received the best facial ever- can't wait to go back. Keep up the good work :)

Since Rumors has moved to their new facility the atmosphere has improved 10 fold. The owner has done a wonderful job of making the whole salon feel welcoming. The staff is pleasant and ready to assist you in anyway they can. They have always gone above andd beyond to make sure my hair, nails, manicures, facials, massages were to my satisfaction. I can go in there after a hectic morning or afternoon, have a drink, a snack and relax. It's like visiting old friends and worth every penny.

Rumors is a really cozy place. With sofa's and wide screen Televisions I felt like I was waiting at a friends house. I was early and was offered an assortment of drinks and munched on some muffins on the coffie bar. My shampoo was like a head massage!! My stylist had a great personailty and had me laughing and almost in tears. My hair looks great. I will be back. Keep up the good work. I would hate to be dissapointed on my next visit!

Rumors Retreat is a professional, spotlessly clean, comfortable salon. The reason that this salon stands out is that it offers the continuous training of the stylists. They're up to date with the most recent cut and color techniques I have recommend Rumors to many of my acquaintances from Baltimore and Annapolis, and they were delighted with the results. It's also convenient for busy women because it's one of the only salons that are open on Sundays. The staff is friendly and ensures that your visit is pleasant and satisfying. I travel all over the country, and I have been asked on several occasions where my color was done. I would highly recommend this salon if you're in the Baltimore Washington area.

An ok place to get services done. But nothing special. Certainly not a place I'd go to "get away". It's a little caotic too. I had to wait awhile until I was seen for my appointment. I'd save my money and go to a luxury spa for the prices they charge.

I love this hair salon! All of the girls there are so friendly and professional. They make you feel right at home when you come. The prices are reasonable and they usually can squeeze you in right away. There is hardly any wait at all to schedule appointments! I can't wait until the new salon/spa opens! I would recomment Rumors to anyone.
