SERVICE STINKS. I had a problem with my pontiac and had it towed to Ideal. After the work was finished I was informed my extended warranty would not cover the work. After talking to the GM extended warranty people they said covering the work was up to the dealership. After talking to the service manager I was questioned "did you buy the car from us?" I responded "no"; "do you have the car serviced with us?" I responded I do the service such as oil changes myself. They responded "If we dont pay it we are not losing a customer anyways so you are out of luck. Funny thing is I was looking for a car. I promptly crossed this dealership of my list. I did bring my car in previously for a leaky gasket in the transmission, they did get that right after two attempts and two tows. Go down the street and buy a Kia from Bill Baisey Kia, you will be a lot happier

I Want to give the Service Department at Ideal Buick, Frederick
We came in with our dash light on, with a repair estimate from another GM facitlity. They had the part and the repair done in less than 2 hours, and I saved about 500. off my repair estimate from the other dealer. My mechanic couldnt figure it out. Ideal restored my confidence in the dealer and I will be back to see them again.
I give them all High Fives , and we are very happy with how our car runs....I will definately return!

For those that don??t have the patience to read through ?? just remember the name Aaron.

The car I wanted to buy: Veracruz Limited FWD

Demeanor on the phone: Very professional; I mistook him for a retired armed forces personnel with high ethical standards. (Rating: 10/10)

The on-the-road quote I asked the dealership if he could meet: $31,600k

??The trap? line that was used with me: I am selling below the invoice. All you have to do is come here and you will get the best price in the states of VA-MD-PA. I tried to be a smart-a$$ and asked if I could visit only if he gave me a quote. He said ?? nopes, because without me visiting, he won??t really be able to ??pull? the quote out of the system he was using. My physical presence was mandatory. (Lie-o-meter!)

So: My wife, father-in-law, and my 10-month old (who we rarely take on a drive exceeding 30 mins) were off on the 1 hour drive.

At the dealership: My host isn??t available for the first 10-15 mins. No problem, I??ve been to the doctor??s office enough that I am used to getting up from my seat with arthritis.

First face-to-face meeting: Wishes me, but doesn??t notice that I had 2 adults and a baby accompanying me.

His first question: Why don??t you go with a GLS? (Ah, I knew right there I had fallen into a trap.).

I say No ?? ??Limited? only. A few discussions later, he walks out casually, doesn??t tell me how long he??ll take. After about 10 minutes, he comes back, and somehow notices 2 adults and a kid next to me. He then asks casually if the lady next to me is my wife?!! But the worst part of my day is yet to come

He pulls out the ??best quote in MD-VA-PA?. It comes to $33.5k!! A good 2k more than the quote that even my wife overheard me say to the guy just moments before he convinced me to visit his dealership.

And now the worst part of my day ?? ??You see, I heard you say $33k over the phone, we are so close?. . (Lie-o-meter!) I felt as if I was Roger Federer and I had just lost the U.S Open. I said politely ?? ??No, Thank you for your time?. As I walked back dejectedly to my car carrying my daughter in her car seat, my wife was furious with me as to why I even said Thank you. Left to her she had considered punching the guy in his face.

Closing thoughts: Perhaps part of his job is to show to his boss that he is able to attract at least some customers to the dealership. It??s a pity that his moral compass allowed him to (a) Drag me, my 10 month old, and my aged father-in-law 1 hour each way and (b) rather than say sorry, make us feel we had wasted his time.

I have had to take my car in for warrenty service a number of times with my young children in tow. They have a great waiting area with free coffee and popcorn and comffy charis and a tv. They even gave my son the biggest balloon I had ever seen. His sister who was a t school was mad she didn't get to sit and wait as well.

Thank goodness for a dealership that is willing to work with their customers. We bought my husbands car from Ideal and they were so accommodating. We went in one night, picked out the car and then left to go home (leaving them to fill out the paperwork). We came in the next night to sign the papers and write the check and we drove off in our new car. We were so happy that a dealership didn't keep us in their offices all day in order to haggle. They were completely willing to work with us and we will be purchasing another car from them again!

Love my Verano! I purchased my 2014 Buick Verano from Ideal Buick. Not only did it take less than an hour from the time I pick my car out, but I get free car washes for life! Make sure to ask for Amity or Kevin, and they will make sure
