This is a good, local place. The scathing reviews are a bit over the top. If you want a great crab cake, this is the place to go. Also, you can get all you can eat crabs during the week on certain days for under $40. There are certain things that they don't do well, but most of the food is quite good. Their soups, club sandwiches, etc. are very good and most of the staff is top notch. Unfortunately, sitting at the bar is definitely more for regulars at times, as it may take a non-regular some time to be recognized. That said, where else can two people get four beers and still have tip money from a $10 bill? Give it a try!

This place is wonderful. What u see is what u get. Good food, cheap and cold beer, its exactly what u would expect standing outside of the place for the first time. For any naysayers, there's a reason why its PACKED every single evening when I drive past it. The crabs are great too. If u want to complain about the price of the crabs, take a look at the gulf buddy, not exactly in good shape these days. The demand for crabs is way up bc the gulf industry has been crippled so now the country has to turn to the chesapeake, that drives prices up. If its to high for the naysayers, hey, go crabbing yourself and get ur own crabs or write a letter to bp about how they ruined the price of your dinner. Recommendation: any seafood or a burger, u won't find a better place in the area

Six of us went on Mothers day 2010. We were seated quickly but it was 2:30 pm and not prime time. The beer was cold. The crabs looked good but they were reservation only and $95.00 a damn dozen!! The food was terrible. My nachos were the worst I have ever eaten. The chips tasted nasty and the toppings, well let me tell you about the toppings. Little pieces of cold pizza sausage that looked like rat droppings. No other meat and the cheese was not really melted but rather hard chewy. Just remembering this dish makes me cringe. I had originally ordered fried chicken dinner. My server came back and told me they were out of white meat! So I made the mistake of ordering the Nachos. Who can't make a great nacho platter? The Woodbine Inn. The coconut shrimp appetizer my wife got was ok but was served sitting in fry grease on the serving plate. The dipping sauce was a white gism looking sauce that tasted like pina colada. Too much coconut flavor and too sweet. The fried shrimp my mother inlaw had looked like it came out of a box and wasn't much in the way of taste. The flounder meal was bland along with the canned green beans. My father in law had the tuna fish platter. Nasty and he did not finish it. The only good thing served was my wifes shrimp salad. The atmosphere was loud and nothing special. Needless to say we won't be going back there for anything ever! They need Gordon Ramsey to show them how to run a restaurant. I cooked for 7 years and know my way around a kitchen and they need help at that place.

Went to Woddbine Inn..figured it was always packed as I passed by. Well the food was mediocre at best. The staff were all friendly and I think this place is even family owned, however not impressed with the food at all. The crab dip was worst I've ever eaten and everything else was just okay. Beer is cold; lots of tvs and nice atmosphere...so just stick to the beer.

The Woodbine Inn is a great bar / lounge. It has at least a dozen TV's to watch what you want. It has a good decor and a menu that will satisfy the pickiest of eaters. They get there crabs and shrimp from across the street and are very good quality. There is also a nice little dining room off to the side. The place is very smokey and the quality of the food is not very good. I have been there 3 times and twice my food was undercooked.
