My name is Arik Mikal PHD in Zoology, I wanted to say I found the treatment of the reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, and rodents there to be up to par with my own terrariums. Now I have a doctorate in Biology and zoology and as I currently am interning at The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore's Herpetology and cold blooded animals exhibits; with this being said... I have wells of knowledge to use in there defense... saying the smell is uncleanly... well that is absurd... the amount of ammonia in feces produced by reptiles is very high as well as rodents therefore one bathroom break can fill a room with pungent smell. It is inevitable. As well as if you go to my exhibit in the Reptile House at the Zoo I would gladly like to see how you feel about my health standards as the smell is identical even with our filtered air and manufactured fresh scents. The prices are more then reasonable for personally bred and hand raised animals as well as exotic morphs. Oh and to the carrion who said that they don't care about there animals... I have talked to every member of the staff and 2 of which are huge ASPCA activists one is a druidic practitioner and they all have such drive and passion for animals it rivals mine. LOVE THE STORE!

I have been a dedicated customer there for years. I'm in there almost every week for my reptile food and products, specifically to support their local business. \n\nI recently purchased a $200 baby snake, it died 14 days after I had it. I brought it in, and the owner said he does not guarantee their animals after they leave the store!!! refusing to give me even some of my money back or replacing it. Both my kids and I are heartbroken over losing her. Now this just shows how much he loves his money more than his animals and customers. This is the 2nd time I experienced an animal from there that died in the passed few months. The first one was a Savannah Monitor I had a down payment on, luckily I realized it was sick and I didn't take it home, and it took me talking to an employee to ask the owner numerous times if he could separate it from the others and try to see if it could be helped, as he didn't think it was sickly.\n\nI'm very upset over the way the owner acted toward me. Why wouldn't a local store guarantee their animals? Even reptile show vendors have guarantees! I will not be supporting this store anymore!

I was very thankful to find a pet store that actually cares about their animals and know how to take care of them. If you have a question you can always call and ask them. The store has recently expanded which means they will have more products. I really believe in keeping our local small business open so I definitely recommend checking this store out. The store has really improved.

Brian is a top-notch herper. He is extremely knowledgable, as are all of his employees. It's a small store, but it has absolutely everything you need for your not-so-furry-friends! They keep it warm, though, which gives the impression of being dirty and smelly, but the smell comes from the plethora of reptiles (you can't keep them from smelling a little!) and the warmth is to provide a good environment. They certainly value the reptiles over the customers, which is a big plus (if you want fancy stores, go to Petsmart). The accessories may seem higher priced than, say Petco, but the feeder mice are the most inexpensive mice i've run into ($12 for four mice at petsmart?? are you serious!?!?!) and my babies love them. don't go anywhere else unless you're looking to rescue some poor reptile.

this store is amazingly clean and fresh for its amount of animals. the animals seem happy and healthy in their enviornments. the products sold, like tanks, animal food, and cage decor, are high in quality. the animals range from tarantulas to snakes to many types of lizards and fish. I give it three thumbs up!!

PROS: better than afisionados!
CONS: bad parking

this store seemed okay but a problem I did find is the selection is very small and the prices seemed somewhat high for a small local store. I would still shop there if I was into more exotic pets. Another problem was the smell and the clealiness which are severly lacking. This is a major problem in a small pet store.

Wet Pet and Reptile is a really good store to visit if you have more exotic animals outside of dogs and cats. They carry a good selection of food and accessories, like tanks, for all kinds of reptiles. The prices aren't too bad and you do get a good value considering it is a specialty store and it can be hard to find reptile products at times. The staff is friendly and helpful and you feel welcomed at the store. A good place to check out if you are interested.
