My favorite place to visit and unwind with a cold beer. Local bar, friendly clientele, everyone always seems to have a good time!

If you are new to Baltimore, and want to drink where the locals drink, Canton Liquor House should be your first stop. Donna and Mark have turned the old liquor store into the cleanest bar I've ever seen. Upon arrival you know you are in Baltimore. My favorite is the original wooden wall cabinet. It takes up almost the whole left side of the bar. Donna has filled the cabinet with pictures of all of her loyal customers each with there very own picture frame. And ladies if you forget something the bathroom, which is spotless by the way, has anything you need. Let me warn you though. This is not a bar for sissies or one beer. If Mark is working prepare yourself. This is a drinking bar!! He will have another beer in front of you faster than you can blink. And if you whine about it you'll get a penalty shot. That 'll teach ya! Donna is like the mom of the bar. Anything you need to feel more comfortable she'll get for you. They don't have a kitchen, but if you get hungry she will feed you some how even if she has to order delivery she will. Weekend nights you can find Mark behind the bar getting people drunk. Donna entertaining the customers with conversation, snapping pictures, sing-a-longs, or dancing in front of the juke box "which is chocked full of good music for all ages."This is just a great place to hang out meet new people, and feel comfortable every time you walk through door. I love this bar.
