We recently tried Senor Tucans for Sunday brunch, but ended up ordering off the regular menu rather than the brunch menu. (I do want to try the huevos rancheros someday though!)

Both of us gravitated to the make-your-own combo -- two, three, or four entrees with a side of rice and beans. The entrees you can choose from are burritos, enchiladas, tamales, and papusas (a thick, cheese-stuffed corn tortilla). Tamales are particularly hard to come by... it was nice to have them as an option! (They were good, too.)

A half-pitcher of sangria is only $3 less than a whole pitcher, so we nervously ordered the whole. My husband enjoyed it, but I thought the fruit was a bit too sour, and the wine lacked punch. The ice-filled pitcher is a sobriety test in itself... it is a bit bulbous, making retrieval of those last few precious drops difficult!

We want to go back on a Monday evening and try the buffet. It's always nice to try a little bit of this and a little bit of that.

Other specials include $3 margarita night on Wednesdays (with dinner) and live Mariachi music on Thursdays.
