Brand Meredith M Dvm - Fullerton Animal Hospital

I take my two cats to this facility; and whenever I do, it's a guarenteed wait, move to the room, and wait even longer. I have never gotten out of this facility in under an hour. The waiting room smells like dirty dogs so my cats have a tendency to cry the entire wait leaving me frazzeled and nauseous when I leave. If the place was full and busy I could understand the delay, but tonight I sat for 45 minutes in an empty waiting room to be seen. The vets are knowledgeable and nice, but the front desk staff are always bored and uninformative.

I followed the owner, Dr. Brown, from the Carney Animal Hospital when he purchased the Fullerton Animal Hospital over a decade ago. He has operated on one of my dog's knees, two of my dogs' ears, and extracted a broken tooth from another dog. There were never any complications and his rates were very reasonable.One of the other doctors there diagnosed kidney failure in one of my dogs and guided me thru his care and final days. I do not think they could have seen it coming from the last time they had seen him a year earlier. His staff was very caring and accomodating whenmy dog reached the end of his life. I would not bring my pets anywhere else.

I've taken my 3 cats and a guinea pig there for about 2 years now, and have had very good care. They have given very compassionate end-of-life care to one of my cats, and have also treated one for a chronic condition. The waiting room is pleasant, and I have never had difficult encounters with other animals. My guinea pig is a "pets on wheels" animal and goes in for well pet checks and they have a special vet for small animals! They have accomodated my schedule as well, by having hours as late as 7 on weekdays.

My dog had very high Bun and Creatine Blood levels 10/2006 during a routine blood test before she was spayed. I complained for the next year that the dog had excessive thirst, only to be told that that was normal. I brought the dog in to the office myself to have her blood tested thinking that she may have diabetes. When the blood results came back I found out the dog had kidney failure and her blood levels were the same as they were a year ago. Although the dog's life span would by greatly shortened, I could have made better choices a year ago with meds and proper diet. Also dog had a major heart mumur which was never told to me. The kidney and heart problems were verified by two other vets and both agreed these were conditions which should have been diagnosed much earlier. The 18 month old wonderful dog had to be put down. Not only did Fullerton charge me a lot of money in their last ditch effort to try to save the dog, they will not even return my calls, email or faxes to discuss this problem.

I've been pleased with the treatment my dog has received from the Fullerton Animal Hospital. Everytime we have an appointment we don't wait for long, and my dog has been treated well, even when he's quite sick. They keep the office clean, which is refreshing, and the veterinarians always keep me informed about exactly what is going on with my dog and how I can help keep him healthy.

Fullerton is a wonderful pet hospital. They building is very nice and clean and the doctors and nurses are super nice. You can easily get good pet advice and they have the answers to all your questions. Your pets will be treated with plenty of care and receive all the help they could need. The prices are also good and no worse than any other vet would charge. Highest recommendation.
