I was recommended to Givens by my insurance agent. I took my brand new car to them to get a scratch repaired on the passenger side quarter panel as well a scratch on the rear bumper. The staff was friendly overall.
When I picked up my car after they had repainted it and rear bumper had a ton of dust in the finish, as well as the quarter panel. It is in no way an acceptable repair. I voiced my concerns and they agreed to fix the problem. The bumper was so bad that it needed to be repainted all over again.
When I came back the second time, the bumper still have a bunch of dust in it. I was asked to bring it back again for them to repair again. So I brought it back a third time and the results were the same.
At this point I contacted my insurance agent and they sent someone over to look at the car. The representative from my insurance agency looked at my car and agreed that the work they had done was not acceptable after 3 tries. He did however talk me into taking it back to them again after he had a chance to talk to them.
So I took it back to them and guess what? The repairs were still not good and the finish still had a bunch of dust in it. The sales rep said I could bring it back and they would take care of it, AGAIN.
Unfortunately, before I was able to get it back to them for the fifth time, I scratched my bumper again. I called them and told them the I had another repair that needed to be done. I stated that I would bring it back to them for another chance to get the repair corrected and pay the difference for the new repair since that scratch was my fought.
When I received my car after the fifth trip back, the finish still had dust in it, the new repair had a bunch of "orange peel" and over spray around it, the back of my car where the spare tire is was all taken apart and not put back together, and the black trim below the repair had a bunch of dried compound on it, which I still have not been able to get off.
They told me I could ??bring it back again?, but I told them there was no way I??d ever bring my car back to them again. They gave me a whole $20 off the last repair that I needed. I guess that was to cover all of the gas to go back and forth five times. I work in a field where I have to deliver a finish product to the customer as well, and I would never present a customer with a finished product like the one they gave me.

I originally was recommended by USAA to go to Autobody Dimensions in Frederick because Autobody originally fixed a small fender bender/light wreck I had. In hindsight, I am baffled why USAA recommended Autobody Dimensions. What a bad experience. The mechanics and management at Autobody Dimensions were totally incompetent. Needless to say, Autobody "Dimentia" gave me an estimate of "around" $900 and thought the problem was with the "computer interface" in the front headlight. Givens determined that the only problem I had was that I needed a new light bulb ($100). Dimentia even told me that the problem was my high beam light was not working in addition to HID computer problems. I actually had to take mechanic/estimator out to my car to show him that it was the low beam light that was not working. As the Mind of Mencia would say: "de, de-de". Long story short, Givens Collision is by far the best-in-class for collision repair. They deserve to be successful given their focus on customer service and customer satisfaction. Thanks Givens!

I have recently had repairs done to my car at Givens Collision Repair Center, and I have never had such a great experience with such a wonderful and honest body shop before. First of all, whoever wrote that negative review just sounds like a disgruntled employee rather than a bonified customer of Givens. Jay, the owner, was so honest and down to earth that he actually saved me money on my repair! His original estimate was higher than the actual cost to repair my vehicle due to a parts price change, and instead of charging me the original price which he very well could have done, Jay was honest with me and passed along the savings right into my pocketbook! He and his staff where so kind and informative that I felt comfortable from the very first time I walked into the shop. Their website is FANTASTIC as it showed my car during the repair process- what a neat idea Givens! I also got updates and pictures on the progress of my car, so I knew right away what was going on. With all the awards, training and accomplishments he, his technicians and his business have won over the years, it made me even more confident that I was in a quality repair facility. I will never take my car anywhere else- forget the negative comment it just doesn't have any merit! Way to go Jacki- I also loved your response!

I had a great experience at Givens Collision Repair Center. First, they were very informative on the phone and quoted me a very competitive price for a repair on my car. The price was 40% less then anywhere in the Washington DC/Rockville area. Second, they stood by their word and when I received the estimate - it was exactly what they had told me over the phone. Jay and Rex are the nicest guys and the overall customer service there is outstanding! When they missed a spot on my car, they offered to redo the job at no charge (why would they do that unless they cared about their customer satisfaction). I would recommend them to all my friends. I will go there again if needed in spite of the 45-minute commute, they are worth the trip. Don't hesitate and call them for an estimate.

I cant beleive anyone would not recommend this shop! This is the only shop I would ever use! Jay Givens is so honest and warm with all and every customer, he made me feel as if I was the only customer even though the shop was packed full of repairs for others. When Jay was not around his staff has the same qualities. Rhonda the customer service rep was a joy to deal with, she kept me informed throughout the repair and was helpful when I had a problem with my insurance company. I read Mrs. Givens response and support her and all her employees 100%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Way to Go Givens, you are the only shop I would ever use to repair any of my vehicles.

We would have liked the opportunity to have addressed the issues with her direct, however, that has become impossible since we can not identify this individual. As far as our prices go, we are at the lowest end of the industry standard rate for the MD, DC and VA area. As far as our technicians go, all of our technicians are highly trained individuals who attend I-CAR training and other industry related classes to keep up-to-date with new technology. Givens Collision is an I-CAR Gold Certified Shop and also an ACOAT Select Shop, as well as a member of the MACRO Group and a member of the Frederick Chamber of Commerce. We have also been honored with MSD Business Partner of the Year Award for the 2004-2005 school year for the work our staff has provided for the training of their students. I used to get all my work done here, from small scraches to putting on a roll pan on my truck. But they have really gone downhill since they got rid of some of there best guys. There prices are really high, but when they were doing a good job it was worth it. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
