So everything started two years ago when my husband and I tried to have our first baby. At the six week mark I had my first miscarriage. My OB said that sometimes it happens and that we should just try again when ready. A few months later we tried again and the same thing happened, miscarriage at 6 weeks. He recommended that we go see a specialist and recommended Dr Hamersley. This is where my nightmare begins. She ran some blood work and decided that because I have a gene that??s related to a blood clotting disorder called MTHFR that it must be causing the miscarriages. She then told me that I had to start taking a blood thinner called Lovenox twice a day. This was via a needle that I had to self inject. After three months my husband and I tried to have another baby and the same exact thing happened at six weeks. She reassured us that this was the reason so I continued to take the Lovenox, which cost $3000 a month, thank god my insurance covered most of it. We continued this routine another two times now accounting for 5 miscarriages total. Because my husband wanted to leave his job we decided to move out of state and figured that we would see another specialist and get another opinion. This woman sat down with us and after looking at my history for five minutes decided that a dye test would reveal why the baby stops at 6 weeks. Within two days I had the test done and found out that I had scar tissue that was blocking the baby. This woman fixed my problem in 5 minutes and Dr Hamersley only wanted to try her blood thinner because she said that she was published and she knew a lot about this decease. One month after having the scar tissue removed I got pregnant and nine months later welcomed my son. It makes me so angry that for two years I had to go through all these miscarriages. Dr Hamersley never even spent the time trying to diagnose the problem, she just assumed that it had to be a blood clot. What you made me go through should be a crime!

Dr Hamersley helped us through two high risk pregnancies. Her intuition and medical acumen are a gift. I truly think she is a rarity in medicine and was an angel in our lives.

I was so fortunate to b referred to Dr. Hamersley during my 1st pregnancy. I immediately was washed over with warmth and professionalism by ALL who worked in the office.. I had so many growing fibroids that it was impossible to attmept a CVS and I had a VERy challanging Amnio a few weeks later. Dr. H was so encouraging even sending me to bedrest for 7 or 8 weeks..not an alarmist even when things got harry. Her staff of sonographers was wonderful and really put me at ease. I welcomed my son into the worlds in May 2006 adn was fortunate enough to get a chance to "hang" with Dr. H and staff during my 2nd pregnancy in 2008 when our daughter was born. I actually miss going there and have dropped by with the kids on occasion just to say "Thank you" > I have referred her to everyone I know who wants an excellent, confident and encouraging high risk OB who truely loves what she does and cares about her patients..she is a blessing to all who are fortunate enough to work with her and her team!

My experience with Dr. Hamersley was wonderful. She was very personable and caring about my high risk pregnancy. I would defiantly recommend her to my friends if they needed a high risk OB.

I totally agree with the other responses, I was referred to see Dr. Kramer during my pregnancy with my son because I had a stillborn baby at 8 months of pregnancy before so. I had to see him about once a month for the last 5 months of my pregnacy. During that time I had lost medical insurance due to my husband losing his job and being on his probation period with a new job. Dr. Kramer continued to see me at no expense and said that the health of my child was more important than any amount of money. Those are words that u can not only trust, but words that go straight to ur heart. Dr. Kramer was the best for def not only that reason but for giving me his word for a healthy safe baby boy and thats exactly what I got. If anyone is looking for an excellent High Risk Dr, I would def recommend him.

SGF referred me to Dr. Sheri Hamersley. I owe them so much for connecting me to this brilliant doctor. Not only is she personable, warm and caring, but the best at her job. After 8 miscarriages at different stages of pregnancy, consulting with doctors all over the county, the answers to my prayers was on Shady Grove Road. Not only was Dr. Hamersley the first doctor that had actually read my files ahead of time and had questions prepared for me, she was the first doctor to give me any hope of having a child. At the end of our meeting, she said, " I know exactly what we need to do for you. I promise you..I will hand you a baby." I am crying right now while I am writing this review. It was the first time I felt hopeful of becoming a mom. Well, she was right. 15 months later she danced around the delivery room with my baby girl! Sarah is now 5 years old. Every year on Sarah's birthday we bring Dr. Hamersley a present and visit with her. Even at 5, Sarah understands that she is here today because Dr. Hamersley discovered what it took for me to have a child. I owe her so much and thank her when ever I am given a chance. She is a dedicated doctor and has a very experienced staff. If you need to talk about being high risk, being on bed rest, or about Maternal Fetal Medicine Associates, please feel free to e-mail me at barbara.friedlander@gmail.com

Maternal Fetal Medicine is the absolute best place to go for high risk pregnancy monitoring. They have have very friendly staff and the doctors are great. Dr. Sherri Hammersley and Dr. Wayne Kramer are the best at what they do. They are very professional and easy to talk to. The the doctors take the time to check on their patients outside of office hours and also work with you to make sure you understand everything that is going on with your pregnancy. I highly recommend them.
