Downright terrible. Got the crabcake, which was OK. Opted to get steamed veggies instead of baked potato. Veggies were badly overcooked with no flavor. No other sides (rice, slaw, etc.) for 16 bucks?!? No bread. Didn't get any drink refills from the server (who was inattentive... only visit after we got our food was to give us our bill). I complained about the veggies only to get the response "Sorry, I'll tell the cooks to make it better next time". No offer of a different side or discount. Beer selection sucks. Wife got Ocean City Steamer. Fair at best. Scallops had no flavor and were rubbery. Sat on patio, no atmosphere whatsoever (no music, tv, etc... only screaming kids at the other tables). Do yourself a favor and go to a chain restaurant; trust me, it will be better.

Got 12 lg crabs at carryout counter. half of the legs and claws had fell off and were in the bottom of the bag. We ate 2 crabs and they didn't taste good. I rate 2 stars because they were nice and refunded my money or it would be 1 star.

This is a great local place to visit if you are looking for some seafood. The crab dip is amazing and we always order it. There is a variety of food, although the menu doesn't change much. My family has our standard favorites and we love pretty much everything on the menu.
The crabs are excellent. Salernos is very flexible and has helped me pack crabs to take to my family in Connecticut.
My family is now living in North Carolina and we still have the option of ordering crabs- as they do ship.
Love this resturant!

The food is all basically the same. Almost everything is steamed or deep fried and has has Old Bay, or hot sauce or cheese or crabmeat on it. They don't need my help, but here's a menu suggestion: "The Salerno's Buffalo Style Crabcake Melt". It would hit all the major culinary themes and trim the menu by several pages. Seriously, this is a very uninspired menu. Their signature dish, a crab dip, looks decent enough, a hearty portion served in a hollowed out bread boule, but initial enthusiasm fades as it is found to contain only claw meat and precious little of it. The dip has often separated, causing a layer of oil to float to the top. Even when it is properly prepared, it still disappoints the taste buds but will fill you up if you actually eat the whole thing.

The catering side of the establishment is quite good. I have had their food at several functions. However, their restaurant leaves much to be desired. It is rundown and cramped. They are supposedly opening in a new facility which should be great to have a brand new restaurant.
