Awesome Crab Cakes!

by Kimberly N. | insider Insider | Rank: 15,680

My husband took me to Michael's for our very first date and we've been back many times since then. Their crab cakes are phenomenal and worth every penny! Other food items on their menu are satisfactory, but a bit overpriced. Overall, we do enjoy the simple elegance of going to a nice restaurant and will continue to return, as it's one of our favorites.

Great food! Local's favorite.

by Cindy T. | insider Insider | Rank: 19,188

Michael's is known for their crabcakes and they are good! Michael's has a good atmosphere - cozy, relaxing, yet happening. Nice place for a special dinner or night out. They have music in the bar area on weekends and specials throughout the week (Monday night shrimp night - steamed in Old Bay - excellent)

Can't go wrong with the Steak and Cake (filet mignon and crabcake combo). I also highly recommend the crab pretzel...I have been known to make that my meal. Delicious!

Michael's, I will return!!

by David H.

I took my wife to Michael's for the first time! The establishment was fairly large. There was a 20 minute wait, we then decided to have a glass of wine at the smaller bar. (No seats available at the larger bar.) Either way it was more lay ed back and my wife thought it was a neat set up. We then got seated 15 min later. My wife ordered a apple, blue cheese salad, along with her Asian Tuna that she loved. I orded charbroiled oysters for my appetizer and Steak and Crab cake for my entree, To be completely honest, There wasn't 1 thing wrong with our experience! To top it of we had a great dessert made with pecan crust and lemon cream filling. I forgot the name of it. The crab cake is a must have!! Even the steak was an excellent. We are looking forward to returning. The service was A++ FYI- I thought the prices were reasonable for the great quality of food.

Seafood & Steaks

This is the place you take your out of town visitors for a crab cake and money is no option. Food is satisfactory and presented well. The main draw is their popular well appointed bar.

Best crab cake around!!! Great menu with variety and staff was very friendly, Will return :)

by millerinc

I had my first experience at Michael's last night and I was very impressed. Wedge salad was fresh and flavorful and the crab cake was the best, nice lumps of crabmeat with almost no filler. My husband had a ribeye that was also very good and he's a hard person to please! Our overall experience was very pleasent. We will return.

order was lost in the shuffle, dry snapper, good salsa but not enough and high price

by Localhappy47

Lunch on Sunday after church. I ordered the special, grilled shrimp and snapper with mango salsa. I was informed that my lunch was lost in the shuffle of a large party and had to wait a very long time for it. When it arrived, the snapper was dry. The mango salsa was very flavorful and fresh. However, there was just a small sprinkling of it. The shrimp were fine. The rice was too dry. At the price of $30.00, this dish came with no other accompaniments-no salad or vegetable. I was given two very cheap and cold rolls with tubs of butter. I would not recommend this restaurant for service or for fish at any price.

Best Place to Eat

by diningoutsd

If you live in timonium you already know this place has it hands down over anywhere else. With a menu full of variety, any choice is a great one because they cook your food to perfection. If you are visiting Baltimore it is well worth the drive 20 minutes north.
