Asahi Japanese Restaurant is A Great Value for Delicious Food

by Laurel C.

This is a great restaurant for Korean, Japanese and Sushi/Sashimi. The lunch buffet is an excellent opportunity to try unique maki rolls, the old standby tuna, shrimp, and salmon options. The hot food portion of the buffet includes vegetable tempura, General Tao's Chicken, steamed vegetables, fried rice and rice noodles. The cost is now $14.99, but worth every penny for the great service and the fresh and delicious foods.

great

by rob b.

Thia place is very very clean and the food taste excellent, not just the sushi. Great spot for a beginner sushi eater. the other 2 reviews seem ed to down play this spot. They are tripping. I am a chef myself, just try it and you will see... great spot!!

you get what you pay for

by k c.

I don't know of any buffets that offer premium sushi for $10. You get what you pay for. I've only been to Asahi during the dinner hours, so I haven't experienced the lunch buffet.

Asahi is really a Korean restaurant that serves Japanese cuisine. I actually found their sushi to be quite satisfactory, fresher than most non-Japanese sushi houses with generous proportions. If you like sushi/sashimi, order the titanic, enough to feed 4-8, depending on how hungry everyone is. Sometimes they throw in a free bottle of soju when you order it.

PROS: Clean, good service, good food.
CONS: Hard to find, a little out of the way.

Low budget / low quality

by Jaggah M.

Not the best sushi restaurant - has a lunch buffet that stays crowded but the sushi is terrible. the rolls are assembly line mass production quality with hardly any fish and not really tasty

PROS: cheap buffet - under $10
CONS: bad sushi
