Had timing belt replaced $555. Then, they try to start car - it won't start, they decide the engine needs replaced because there has been damage to the motor - approx $3260 for a used motor installed. I was told that this was a 7-10 day job. I ended up having a rental car for 3 full weeks while waiting. Every time I called I was told something else had delayed them. When I finally picked up the car I drove it out of the parking lot and turned around and took it back because there was so much vibration and noise coming from the motor I knew something was wrong. They had the car another night and returned it with some vague explanation about a motor mount. When I picked it up it still didn't seem right but when I called back I was told it was my tires causing the problem, not the engine. A few weeks later the check engine light came on, so it went back to the garage for 2 more days. I was told that the ERG needed replaced, and since they still had my old engine out back they would take it off and put it on my car. However it was raining and because the technician didn't want to get wet (!) it would be the next day before it would be completed. All along the car still has the same vibration and loud noise - and although they have now admitted to me that sometimes when an engine is replaced the motor mounts get damaged, they are refusing to take any responsibility for this. Before my car went to Grant's Service Center it ran great, very smooth and quiet. Now it has terrible vibrations throughout the car and worst of all I don't feel that it is safe. Stay far away from this place - they are not customer friendly and they are not willing to rectify their mistakes. I plan to tell my experience everywhere and anytime that I have a chance, I would not want anyone else ripped off like me.
