Still Mad

by Mike A.

I bought a SUV from Apple Ford this year. Besides having pushy salesman who kept telling me what a good deal I was getting, it appeared as a typical dealership. Then the problems started. I had a spill in my car that stained my carpets and caused my car to smell. Apple Ford did everything they could to get out of the warranty I purchased for my carpet. After much complaining, they at least gave me one of their cars to drive around in until my car got fixed. Well, that didn't last long. They were constantly calling me at work telling me I had to return the loaner car because they sold it. I switched cars with them only for this to happen again. It was such a pain to leave work in the middle of the day that I told them I didn't want another car. In the end, I was stuck paying $1,000 to get my carpets replaced. The general manager "Chip" was unappreciative and arrogant. I would NEVER buy anything from them again!!

DO NOT BUY FROM APPLE FORD!

by Andy C.

We bought a 2005 E350 at the end of december of 2005. After the purchase, on the drive home, we noticed an odd noise from the engine. My dad has bought and used FORD Econolines for his work doing hardwood flooring for the past twenty years. He was a loyal customer to Ford. He returned it to the service dept. the next day, and they told him it was the noise the turbo makes. My dad insisted that it is not the turbo but they told him that he does not know what he is talking about. In november of 2007, the FORD E350, with just under 60,000 miles, the van stopped in the middle of the highway. The van would just lose power, no matter how much the accelerator was pushed, and the van eventually comes to a stop and the engine shuts off and steering wheel locks up. I have almost caused many major accidents, the worst being when I had to try and turn into an intersection, when the van lost power and steering wheel locked up. the van's front half was in the opposing lane of traffic for TEN MINUTES blocking traffic. I was about to get jumped by the people that I blocked because they had noway to go around. This has happened over five times within the past three months, each one occuring faster than before. Everytime we took it to APPLE FORD, they said all they can do is plug it to the diagnosis machine and whatever it says is the problem, thats what they fix. They replaced the fuel pump everytime we took it in and we had to pay a $100 deductable for each time. We replaced the fuel pump once a week for over a month until they finally decided to get a "Ford Engineer" to actually do what they should have done and came to the conclusion that the "gas tank delaminated." They said it was in such a horrible condition that they cannot put it back on after they took it off the van, and was going to charge us $1,200 to get a new one. They said we need to tow it because there is no way they are going to put it back on. During the months in which these problems occured, the van was in the shop for 41 days, the longest taking 2 weeks waiting for it to even be worked on. We complained that they are not going to even fix it and that mounting van rental costs have exceeded $1,500. So, the service manager, DEBBIE, told us they can go half of the rental cost. So we agreed, and once we showed the rental papers, She claimed that the agreement was only for rental CARS, not VANS. I told her that we need to rent a VAN because the vehicle in the shop is a VAN, which was for my dad's work. They said they would not pay any of it because it was a van. DO NOT BUY ANY VEHICLES FROM APPLE FORD. THEY WILL TREAT YOU NICE WHILE YOU ARE INSIDE THE SHOWROOM DECIDING ON WHAT TO BUY. BUT AFTER YOU LEAVE THE SHOWROOM AND GO HOME, THEY WILL MISTREAT YOU AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE GOES OUT THE DRAIN. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR SAFETY. THEY DO NOT FOLLOW THEIR OWN WARRANTY AND THEIR "CUSTOMER FOR LIFE" DEAL IS A SCAM. ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY AND ARE WILLING TO DO ANYTHING FOR IT. DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR LIES! THEY ARE WILLING TO THROW AWAY A 20+ YEAR CUSTOMER AWAY TO MAKE A COUPLE BUCKS. VERY SHADY COMPANY. REPRESENTS FORD IN THE WORST WAY. THEY FIT THE STEREOTYPICAL CAR DEALERSHIP. DO NOT BUY DO NOT BUY!!!!!

Its a car dealership.

by Jamie S. | insider Insider | Rank: 13,041

I like Apple Ford I have been dealing with them for quite some time now and have bought new and used cars from here a couple times. I really like their customer for life program with free oil changes and car washes. I have never felt like they didnt want me there or were trying to push me off onto someone else like other dealerships have done. However I am not the biggest fan of their service department if you need major surgery done on your vehicle. No one knew what was wrong with my car they would insist on certain things that were wrong with it that I knew were not ( I used to work on cars so its not just guess') And it also seemed like there was something extra that they happen to find that needed fixing. As far as pricing goes it really depends on what you are looking for, used cars seem to have a good price but some of their parts prices are questionable to me.

BEWARE of deception

by D D.

Had to walk away from a car we wanted after sales people rescinded on a certain figure. After a phone quote which we were willing to go with, we went into a buy the vehicle only to find they lied and were still asking a grand above what we heard on the phone. Then were accused of twisting their words. Then we were offered several hundred dollars less than what they had written, only several moments later to be told, sorry we can't do that anymore. Wanted the car, but on principle had to walk because if they lied about the price, would hate to know what they lied about in the car itself.

Mixed Service

by kar r. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 429

I have had mixed experiences at Apple Ford. The service department is pretty good. They get you in and out quickly when you drop off your car for service. Unlike a lot of dealers I have been to they do not try to sell you every air filter, wiper, or fluid change possible. I have been pretty happy with their service as far as dealers go. However, I went there looking to buy a used car and I was passed from salesman to salesman with less and less experience until I got the new guy. He was very, very nice but knew nothing about the cars on the lot. I didn't go back to look for a car there.

Good dealership

by Corinne H. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,332

I've gotten one explorer here and was very pleased with my treatment. I use their service department as well - but it seems expensive when I go there. Seems something extra is always needing fixing
