I am a big reader, so sometimes it is difficult to find a good book that interests me. I love just wandering the aisles and picking up books and flipping through them to decide what I want. Sometimes the simply things like that are lost while shopping online.

I worked at this place. Management was horrible to me. I was a cashier and people would scream at me if the newspaper wasn't available, then complain to management. Management in turn would blame me. Borders is one of the WORST BOOKSTORES TO WORK IN -- totally punitive atmosphere, the employee handbook is like one hundred pages long. The CEO was in the military formerly I believe. If you are a narc-like personality you will do fine (kiss-up, brown noser, you get the picture). Management treated the cashiers like crap and fraternized with the booksellers -- bookstores are supposed to be egalitarian places last I heard. A total nightmare. The only compensation was some great coworkers.

Also worked at Barnes and Noble, was like a dream in comparison to Camp Borders. Great management, not punitive, much smaller employee handbook, treated with dignity and respect. I recommend them over Borders as a place of employment!!!!

Just my two cents. Other people will have a different story.

You could be here for hours. The bookstore is three floors and spacious. The third floor is for music and movies and there is a great little area for kiddies to play and read books. The cafe is located in the middle floor and has a great selection of foods. The customer service is great if there is not a book in the store, you can put in a request to have it sent from the publisher or from another store.

PROS: Lots of stores
CONS: Don't call in- you could be put on hold for a LONG time!
