I worked with Lou in buying an acoustic guitar and some accessories. He was amazing. Lou communicated amazingly and knew what he was talking about. I would recommend him and Bill's Music to anybody.

A great place to shop if looking for equipment. With so much stuff they spread across two buildings. You name the instrument, they have it. You can pick up and try the intruments before you buy.
They also service intruments and equipment. They have repaired my Peavey speaker every time I've blown the base.
Great knowledgeable staff! Very friendly and helpful.

A Baltimore-area institution, Bill's has expanded over the years to two buildings and now also sells and rents school band and orchestra gear. They specialize in the rock instruments and have plenty of guitars and basses to try out. Nothing super-high end but they have all the big names. Often you'll get a really good price, and check out the used section buried in the back left-hand side.

I rented some dj equiptment from them and found the price to be pretty good. Everything worked and the party was a success. The store is big so it has to be housed in 2 buildings. They have everything from new to used guitars, drums, amps and anything else a musician would need. You can try out the instruments before purchase to make sure they are in working order. They are located on a very busy main road in the heart of a small community so parking on the street is impossible to get. There is a lot in the back which is not very convenient. The store is always busy so you will have to wait to be assited and some of their staff was not the most friendly.

It was a very pleasant first experience...much better than I had expected. I am a professional musician and teacher as well as a long time Baltimore resident. I have never been to Bill's. I will definitely check it out in the future. I actually liked the whole Frederick Rd. vibe with which I was unfamiliar

I was able to find my way around with no problems. Things came across as a bit "busy" (not as in too many people but as in so many things to see). On the one hand that's good because I have so much to choose from
Its no Guitar Center, thank God.
To the staff of bill's music congradulations on your 45th anniversary here's to another 45
salam matee (cheers)

Victor was amazing as usual. He was also very gracious to hang around and meet everyone who wanted to meet him. Thanks to Bill's, this was one of the highlights of my life.
hello there! I think it wash one year ago when I bought the washburn rover travel guitar from you via ebay.. I've been wating so long for it to arrive to Israel but finally when it came it wash worth all this time..
I bought a gibson les paul supreme from you guys. You helped me pack it for the trip back home and you cared so much that you called the airlines to see what we could do. I was able to take it onto the airplane and put it in the overhead storage. I cant begin to thank you enough for all the help you provided for me. The supreme has rich sound that allows me to play at the top of my game and is just a joy to play. thank you so much, madison
I've just moved down from New Jersey - I remember shopping on 48th street in NY years ago when.... I told Jared that your store was as good or better than any of them!
Excellent
Plenty of everything and it's all out there to see and play.
It Rocks!
In addition to Matt's courteous, professional, and friendly help, I met a really nice fellow guitar player (Ron Williams) and had great fun jamming with him. No loud wankers like at Guitar Center!
Excellent
All the top brands; all price ranges.
I usually see Mikey or Brennan, but all sales and service reps I have been helped by have been outstanding!
I have delt with Lou at Bills music for over 30 years. Even though I moved out of state to NC 4 years ago I stil make my major purchaces at Bills. Thanks for all the great service.

I've been coming to Bills for about 15 years for a reason!
Not worth the trip, not worth the money. I had my Fender amp repaired at Bill's. The repair department did not write any of my concerns about the amp down, promised me it would be done in two (2) weeks and all work would be completed. I didnt here from them at all. After 3 1/2 weeks I called them. They told me they were waiting on parts and did not tell me anything else. After 5 1/2 weeks still no contact from them so I called again. Still waiting on parts. Ok, I'm getting upset now but if the amp works great. After two (2) months I finally get a call from them telling me it was ready. I pick it up. I am a little upset but at least the amp is done. When I get home a plug it in, the knobs are still loose, the reverb still does not work, but it does sound a litlle better. I was very upset at this point and when I called I was told to buy a reverb pedal and the loose knobs could not be helped. I like his amp but for $156 dollars for a repair that really was not repaired I would not waste my time with the repair shop at bill's music house. Had they kept informed of what could be fixed, what could not be fixed and how long it actually would have taken I would have not have gotten any work done. Instead I am out $156 and still have an amp that doesnt sound good. Bad business, no customer service.
Cons: Over priced
