The customer service is terrible. They will tell you anything to get you to join and then couldn't care less about keeping you. I have never had a worse gym experience. DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM! Also, there are actually hidden charges!

The gym itself is ok but no prize. I even refered people to one of their trainers, who did an awesome job. The problem comes in once your contract is over. They call you and ask if you want to continue, you reply no and then they keep billing you. When you call back, they say that you have to come in and sign something to get the withdrawals to stop. I could not believe how rude these people have become once you want to stop doing business with them. Make sure not to do a monthly withdraw from any account and put everything in writing!??

I joined in dec, 09 at the odebton location. The outside does not do it justice. It is huge inside. But the main thing is all the stuff going on. The trainers have so many different programs going on its crazy. Im never bored. All new spinning bikes and freemotion equipment. They actually service you here instead of wearhousing you.

The management is so focused on making money; they don??t have time to care for their members. Equipment is outdated, staff is rude. You are better off going somewhere else.

The only nice thing about Premier is you can use the Annapolis or Odenton facility. I spent more time at Annapolis which was a bit nicer with newer equipment. The equipment in Odenton is more run down but i never had to wait for anything. The staff is atrocious. I signed up in Annapolis and they mixed up my billing so much that the owner set a meeting with my boyfriend. It was discovered that Premier had basically stolen hundreds of dollars by mixing up our memberships. He offered 6 months free but we had already moved. He ended up not giving us our money and threatening to sue us if we took legal action. I would definitely pay a few extra dollars to join somewhere else if I could have done it over.

OK, this place is no Gold's, but honestly it's not all that bad. The equipment is at times tired, but the cardio equipment is in good shape, as is most other things. We honestly have had no issue with the people there, finding them coridal, if not friendly. In terms of cost, they were better than offered by Gold's, since someone has to pay for the cinema at Gold's. All in it ranks in the middle. It's not for everyone, but fine for us.

When I first began joined this gym, I wasn't overly impressed, but the gym was nearby my home and I was able to get a good deal.

Overtime, I realized why I was able to get a good deal.

First off, the gym equipment is limited and old. There are sections (in front of the cardio mainly) where equipment serves as a space filler, because no one would be caught dead using it because it was so old. Right beside this section, they have a children's section of weights that NO ONE ever uses. This includes a climbing wall for kids as well that no one uses.

This last summer, May 07, they said that they had bought new equipment and it should arrive in a couple of weeks. They had signs everywhere with pictures of the new equipment coming and all the exercises you could do. I haven't gone to the gym since Jan08, but there was still no new equipment as of then. I had asked staff members, and all of them kept saying it was ordered, and it was on it's way. MMmmm hmmm... sure.

Secondly, the staff is unfriendly, only focused on getting contracts, and at times rude. Last year, they had quite a few staff members that were great. However, since they cleaned house (or just left because they were tired with management/ownership) last summer 07, they have been replaced with staff that is more focused on things like police-ing who put the weights back then seeing that you are safe or being helped when necessary.

For example, I was working out one day, and while I was mid-lift, one of the staff members came by and tried to tap my shoulder and get my attention to ask me if I had left equipment out on a bench near me. I finished the rep, sat up, and told him that I had not used it. Wow... what if I had dropped the weight or something because he had distrubed me while I was mid-lift?

Another funny story is that the summer of last year, the gym sent out notices in the mail saying that they had under-estimated their utility bills and we needed to pay a one-time fee to help them catch up. I read it and threw it away immediately because there was no way I was going to pay this when I had a contract in place.

About a month or two later, I asked one of the friendly staff members that had stayed onboard about this mailing. They told me that management gave up on trying to get money, but was able to collect for those who had just joined in the last month or two. Shows you how well establishment it is doesn't it?

In short, this gym is okay if you can get it for a good price and don't need a lot. It's not to busy, but don't think you will be able to use everything in the free weight area since they are usually only one deep on everything (i.e. incline press = 1, curl bar = 2, curl bench = 1, etc.).

However, as some of the past members and staff, I will definitely decide to go elsewhere after my contract ends in a couple of months. Just not worth it for all it's limitations.

I had a membership there a few years ago, and at first it seemed okay. It's a bit expensive for what you get in return. For sixty dollars a month:

Facilities:
It's basically a small warehouse with sectioned off areas using drywall. Equipment is mediocre, and half of it doesn't work. Unsanitary.

Customer Service:
Incompetent staff, and it seems their only concern is billing you. Good luck cancelling at the end of the year. There is so much fine print, you pretty much have to give a limb to get them to stop charging you fees.

Trainers:
You meet with a trainer during your first session. It's nice getting workout suggestions, and tips how to further your fitness training. They will try to sell you hard on a personal trainer.

Suggestion:
Go with another better known place such as Gold's Gym. A lot more bang for your buck.

This gym offers a wide choice of equipment which not only gives you a variety but also helps to make sure that equipment is available to work out on. The space is so big that even during prime workout hours there is still a spacious feel. They do offer childcare but you have to pay extra. They also have a seperate women's area for circuit training.
