Obrycki's Crab House

We have been taking yearly trips to Baltimore for Obrycki's for years. The hard shell crabs are the best. Delicious soups also. They are closed for the winter and will reopen March 9, 2009 due to the high quality of crabs they depend on serving.

The only thing to go to Obrycki's for are the hard shell crabs. This restaurant is a Baltimore institution, but other than the hard shells, the food is only fair.

It's known as a Baltimore Seafood institution, but I was underwhelmed with the lunch I had. The crab was buried in bread crumbs and the atmosphere was blase.

i am going to baltimore this friday and i can't wait to go back to obryckis for a large crab dinner. you use wooden mallets on a papercovered table to crack the shell and start picking. you will get full if two people order the 12 crab special. so so good! take a cab to the place since it is a little dicey to walk there especially at night. a really fun place.
