The foods ok but the employees are forced to work when they are sick. This is not the place to dine with the H1N1 virus rampant and possibly sick cooks and servers handling your food !!!!

Our experiences have been mostly positive at The Grill. The food is usually very good. The craison chicken salad is wonderful, as are the burgers which are large and juicy. Both of these are favorites. My husband has also enjoyed the salmon dishes that he has ordered. The spiced tea is what really keeps me coming back. It is delicious iced and when it is cold out, the hot version is just as good. I could drink this stuff by the gallon! The service is usually good, though occasionally it can be a bit slow.

I had my first experience today at The Grill and it was fabulous. There was a wait, so I guess others like it as well. There were so many good things to choose from. We settled on an appetizer, the grilled portabello mushroom, topped with boursin cheese, roasted red peppers, baby spinach and finished with a balsamic glaze, served with crusty bread. We all loved it. I then narrowed my search down to the Cajun Shrimp Spinach Salad. I would have loved a little more spice on my shrimp, but the salad was very refreshing and satisfying. Both my co-workers had the Craisin Chicken Salad, which they both enjoyed. Our server was very friendly. When we were undecided about trying the soup of the day, she brought us a sample to try and our ice tea glasses were never empty!

I'm one of the many regulars that dine in the Grill at Quarterfield Station where the food and service are GREAT. This is a family & community restaurant where everyone knows your name and treats you with utmost respect and smiles. Prices are reasonable with large enough portions for take home snacks. Great cooks on the grill prepare daily fresh home cooked seafood, meat, & pasta specials in addition to the regular lunch & dinner menus. I especially like the 2 for $28 specials every Monday & Tuesday night that include beverage, salad or soup, entree, and dessert. Check out the friendly counter culture folks & the $15 slow roasted prime rib or steak selection on Sunday nights. Breakfast waffles are the best with hot pears and nuts. I also suggest my favorite special eggs benedict with crab cake and saute garlic spinach served with grits or hash browns. The colorful documentary story quilt on the back wall highlights the energy & spirit of good will dining & a growing community of friends. The owner even throws a thank you party for the MANY happy regulars - there must be something great in the food, service, and community of diners that is worthy of applause and your next visit.

Menu sounded really good and I ended up ordering ribeye steak. What a mistake. Steak was really cheap cut, thin, very much fat on it, looked almost like a pork chop and taste was not very flavorful. Also our waitress was not up to the speed, not picking up empty salad bowls and not refilling our drinks. I have to say that I do not recommend this place due to poor food and service.

Cons: poor service and poor quality of food

Gary's was a disappointment. Decor was nothing special. The food and service was just okay. I had the Reuben which was standard fare. All in all it was a unmemorable experience.
