This was the craziest experience. I am ordinarily the most optimistic person ever - but this experience was total insanity. I took my car to this shop in mid summer of 2011 and didn't see it again for months. My previous experiences with shop in prior years had been positive, so my initial thought when the owner delayed getting my car back to me was to trust the statements about unavailable parts, delays with other cars, etc. etc., blah, blah. Weeks and then months went by!!! I began to wonder when the owner called to try to talk me out of getting my car back- asking me if I would be willing to take a "trade", etc. - and nothing he suggested came anything close to the style and value of my car!!! Like I was a complete idiot??? He wasn't fixing it -but it was taken apart in his shop. He gave excuse after excuse that eventually made no sense at all. The procrastination and lying and avoiding me all came to a head when I had to send over a 6'7" buddy who sat in the shop for an entire day until the owner handed the car over - and even then it was released driving even worse than when I brought it in. While my friend waited, another car owner came in cursing and complaining - seeming to have the very same problem! Owner told me he needed money transferred to his account in advance to pay for car - ironically my friend informed me that my payment was the same amount shop owner owed on the monthly payment for his space (he saw the bills because the place is a total junk trap with old parts, papers and bills lying around all over the place.) Owner even told me that I needed a new timing belt - and I subsequently found the receipt for the timing belt job in the glove compartment from just 2 years before. Maybe something is going on with this person who was previously a great option for reliable car repairs. Unless he has done a 360, he isn't one now.

My auto was towed to this shop after my timing belt broke. I was told by the shop's owner and sole mechanic (Bernard) that he would have to check out the engine to determine if there had been any valve damage. A week passed and I had heard nothing from him. I phoned the shop and got no answer, so I left a message on the voicemail. Another week passed, and he had not returned my call. I therefore called back and after TWO weeks, he had not even taken a look at the car. More weeks passed, he determined that I needed a valve job, but each time he promised a date that my car would be ready, when that date would arrive, he would have a lame excuse as to why it was not ready. On one occasion I decided to drop by unannounced, and found that he had my license plates on someone elses car! He had no explanation for this of course. Bottom line is that this business owner cannot be trusted.
