Family went here on 2/5 for a celebration. The service was poor and the food was equal to the service.
The highlight of the day was the food poisoning I contracted.

The good news, nobody died.

i'd say as of september 2009 it seems the manor tavern will never be the same. the ownership is (now confusing) but also terrible. what has once been an enjoyable get away to the country is now the worst expierience you will ever have. what has been the best staff has miracuously disappeared over the past three years leaving some of the most dedicated and lively employees either having quit or being fired. reguarless the very few faces i see that i remember seem to be fed up and tired of the place. when dining in town last week one of their old waitress' was training for another serving job. i quote her "being fired was the best thing that could have happened to me. i am almost embarassed to say that i was there for so long." she even made the outback a wonderful expirence. One of my favorites now serves at bluestone in lutherville, i recommend you give it a try.

1. the food is served cold almost always
2. service is terrible, do they even have a manager?
3. beware of the returning drunks - they are loud and obscene
4. beware of taking your children in, some of the hosts tend to look like prostotoutes
5. don't be fooled by the appetizers, the crab dip is excellent. the meals are over priced, not well portioned.

As i myself a repeated costomer would have liked to have seen the manor tavern overcome this i will not be returning and recommend you to STAY AWAY!

We took guests to Manor Tavern for Mother's Day Brunch. The food was poorly prepared (cafeteria quality) at fine restaurant prices. Concerned at the apparent decrease in quality, I wrote the manager to express concern and offer feedback. He never gave the courtesy of a response. Guess they don't care to please customers and rely on people who drive the distance for a one time visit. (We have several friends who used to frequent Manor Tavern who stopped going due to declining quality.
What a shame that a good restaurant has become mediocre.

this review is about the manor tavern. the restaurant itself was nice, more formal feeling if anything.nothing taste good at all. the only thing my girlfriend enjoys is the maryland fries...... and there most likely out of the freezer. i have never met the owner, i believe his name is mike or mark.... something. But i have seen him before in the restaurant and let me tell you hes a crazy. Very Very vulgar, and rude, i saw him put down more alcohol than costumers put together. I'd rather eat at burger king than here. atleast there food most of the time comes out hot, flavorful. Ohhh and they dont put hollandaise or bernaise on everything, god i hate that they expect everyone to enjoy that nasty stuff.

I used Manor Tavern to cater my wedding and couldn't have been more pleased. The food was delicious and beautiful. The staff was superb. The wedding went off without a problem. The price was perfect and extremely reasonable.

These people KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING! The food is phenomenal. The service is impecable. And for all of that it's worth the pricey menu. Everything is wonderful and it's always a pleasant experience going to this restraunt. When I visit my dad in Baltimore, I always request we come here!

The Manor Tavern is the place to go for all things food in Horse Country. You can get everything from your favorite draft at the bar to a wedding reception all in one place, and none of it suffers!

You can choose fine dining, light fare or the bar and the food is fantastic across the board. The servers are wonderful, most are actually putting themselves through law school! I had my rehearsal dinner there and it was fantastic. My sister's wedding a year before that was beautiful, with everyone able to order from a shortened menu.

ABSOLUTELY worth the drive out!

The Manor Tavern is by far my favorite restaurant and bar!! The place had a fire last year and the place has been restored to it's original grandeur. I usually go and sit on the "casual side" the place has a full upscale fine dining side and a casual side with a great bar for happy hour. The crab dip and fried calamari appetizers are my favs.

I had read a poor review of the Manor Tavern before going and still elected to try it out for myself. I am sorry I didn't trust the review. This restaurant is the worse food and service experience I have had in years. The food was oversauced, was poor quality, had absolutely no flavor, and was so cold that it confirmed nothing was made to order but instead was likely served up out of an aluminum pan where it had been prepared several hours (or days) earlier. I would rather eat a frozen dinner than return. To make the experience even worse, the service did not compensate for the poor food. When they weren't forgetting something, their timing was terribly off - serving the entrees in the middle of the appetizer! To quote my husband, the worse "dollar for dollar" dining experience in Baltimore.
