Pros: Plenty of fresh fish

Cons: To many people know about it....

This place is just so so. Their crab legs come out all dried up and taste terribly fishy. They have a lot of filler foods and few sea food selections on the buffet. The dirty plates sit on the table too long and overall its just not as good as the local competitor.

We generally make it at least an annual tradition when vacationing in Ocean City to go to an All You Can Eat restaurant and the Bonfire has been a usual venture, but we won't be going back. The food was fine at least as good as you can expect at such buffet places. The fish was rather dry, but everything else was pretty much par. The best part of the buffet is always the freshly prepared doughnuts for dessert.

The waiter we had was plesant, friendly and attentive, but other than that the staff was not very customer oriented. To start, we made a reservation since it gets crowded around dinner time. My wife checked in at the hostess stand and stood to wait. Several other parties though of similar size without a reservation came in and were seated. My wife asked why to which the hostess said to another, "seat this woman immediately and get her out of my face." My wife asked to speak to the manager who apparently did not care. We debated staying, but did anyway only to be bumped or cut in front of by the food runners repeatedly. No "excuse me"s or even apologizes from the hostess or management. Obviously customer service has little meaning here.

Adults: - $29.99; ?Children: 7-12 years - $13.95; ?3-6 years - $6.95; ?Under 3 ?? Free

This place is an all-you-can eat buffet that features seafood, steaks, ribs, Canadian crab legs, pastas and a host of other options. They also have a dinner menu also features a variety of soups, appetizers and entrees.

We had been here about 5 years ago and found all the food really good so we thought we would go back- BIG mistake! The seafood was average but just about everything else was horrible. The meats were either tough or dry, the vegetables were mushy, the so crab soups had no crab in that we could find and the crab cakes were puddles of grease.

We ate plenty of the crab legs- they as good as any other buffet. However, the crab cakes were so disgusting when you bit into them it oozed grease all over your mouth. I got a small section of ribs and the meat was hard and very dry and overcooked. The first batch of mussels I had was pretty decent but the send batch I had the mussels were hard and dry. I stuck mainly to the crab legs.

As for the desserts they weren??t bad either. The bread pudding was pretty good.

The wait staff was the best part- they were quick and attentive. Your drink was never left empty very long and they also dumped your trash bowl even if there were only a few shells in there.

The food did not sit very well with my husband. We had to go back to the hotel before we could head anywhere else so he could spend some time in and out of the bathroom.

We wont be going back!

I haven't been a while because its a little on the expensive side, but it really is a nice place. It's pretty inside and the staff was friendly and the food was yummy..They have vanilla ice cream with a mint liquor on top omg that's good.

Why is it no buffet places have lobster or raw bar with fresh oysters/clams? We tried another place called Phillip's - same deal. I guess they stand to lose too much money if they did. If that's so, you've got to have something real good to make up for that fact - don't you? Well, nothing was that good, it was all mediocre. We went early so at least got seated quickly, as we left we saw what a long wait it would have been otherwise - for what? Oh well, I guess there's not that much to choose from in Ocean City unless you want to spend a fortune at someplace fancy. Don't load up on things with stuffing, breading, cream, or cheese, they fill you up too quickly and stop you from enjoying more buffet - which is why you go to a buffet restaurant - right??
