I would recommend Dr Feinberg but not Dr Rubinowitz. I had an awful experience with her, the vet tech who worked with her that day ,and the office staff in general. The appointment was a debacle from start to finish. From the laissez faire attitude of the front desk person, the total indifference of Dr R and her inability to acknowledge or listen to me the vitriolic attack from the vet tech who seemed to think I didn't care about my animal to the unorganized conduct of the other male assistant. It was really hard to write that check. I was treated like an idiot and an irresponsible pet owner neither of which describes me.I never write reviews but this experience was so upsetting. I have never been treated this way in a vet's office and I am not young and have had animals all of my life. I am voting with my feet.
I have been a client for 14 years. Dr. Feinberg has always shown compassion and caring when it comes to my cats. He has taken my emergency phone calls both mornings and evenings and has always responded promptly. He's treated the cats in sickness, in health and knows how to comfort when it was time to end their suffering.
The pricing is fair, the staff is friendly and I recommend this practice to ALL my friends and relatives.
This office is outstanding. I have had animals for over 25 years, cats and dogs. They are not only brilliant vets but also very kind and caring. There is never a long wait, the pricing is more then fair, and they are always available for emergencys.
They have saved my animals many times with lymes, and other problems. I highly reccommend both vets
I've been going to Stevenson Village for a couple years now and I'm very happy. I've had other vets in the past and, while it might be possible to find cheaper care, I don't think you can find better. I've taken my two cats and my three guinea pigs to this particular vet and I've had both of the Dr. Dr F is my favorite and I always hope to get him but Dr R is quite competent and friendly as well. All of the office staff are helpful and often show a personal interest in my cats. When my kitten was sick right after we adopted him we had to take him in a few times over two months. Everyone in the office wanted to know how he was doing and how big he'd gotten every time we went in.
Everyone in the office is nice and knows what they are doing. They are one of the less expensive vets I've used though I admit that I do take my pets to a local shelter for their rabies shot each year. It's cheaper there. Otherwise I've always spent less at Stevenson than at any other vet for similar procedures. Most importantly the doctors and staff act like they care about my animals. When I had to have my guinea pig put to sleep everyone was very comforting about it and it really seemed like they cared about myself and my pets. I highly recommend this vet.
Have priced vets and Stevenson is very reasonable but don't think you are getting discount care. Dr. F's care and compassion really shows through. I want the best for my animals (they are family) and I feel like I found this at Stevenson Village. I am very picky and would only recommend someone I really felt strongly about. Five stars!!
It's a really homey practice with a personal touch. Just to comment on a previous review, Dr. Rabinowitz is very sweet and kind. She always greets my pets and me, and in fact always reintroduces herself when she comes in to see me. I also know she's extremely competent and practices great medicine.
I have a 7 year old chocolate lab and I have been using Stevenson Village since he was 8 weeks old. I can not say enough good things about the practice. My dog has had 3 surgeries over the past couple of years, and has recovered remarkably well. I fully trust Dr. Feinberg and his staff and never think twice about their recommendations. I grew up in a small town, so when I moved to the city I wanted to find a practice with that "small town" atmosphere (where your dog is not just another client). Dr. Feinberg and his staff have met every aspect, and I am very grateful that I was recommended their practice.
I have been taking my animals there for over 3 years. It is an extremely trustworthy establishment, in that they will not give unneccesary tests and treatments to make money.
I have had wonderful experiences with both Dr. Feinberg and Dr. Rubinowitz. Dr. Feinberg even remembers my parents pets from over 10 years ago! The doctors truly care about animals and are very knowledgeable.
I started taking both of my dogs to Stevenson Village a few years ago, and have to say for the most part that they have been incredibly kind. Megan and Anna at the front desk are very helpful and Dr. Feinberg is patient in explaining things to me, and gentle with my dogs. That being said, I had an unpleasant experience with Dr. Rabinowitz. She seems to know very well what she is doing as a vet, but did not say one word to me besides asking questions about the dogs. Not hello, or good bye, or any eye contact or acknowledgement of my existence in between. She wasn't nasty, she just was not nice, at all. To the woman who had the bad experience with Rabinowitz, I suggest you go back and have an appointment with Dr. Feinberg.

We have always had a dog and so have been to many vets in many states. We love Dr. Evan - he is patient, warm, has a sense of humor, listens carefully and remembers what is important about my pup. We find his advise to be sensible, cautious and practical. He saw us through our beloved dog's last years and death. We were so grateful that we could count on him then.
I have been taking my German Shepherd to Dr. Feinberg for several years and have had only positive experiences with him and the technicians at Stevenson Village. I like Dr. Feinberg because he listens to what I tell him is going on and remembers what I've told him when I return for follow-up visits. It's not like so many other places I have been where the vet acts like they've never seen your animal before even though they have seen them several times. Dr. Feinberg and I have worked on some challenging issues with my dog and he has always been very patient with me even when I was at my wits end. He is wonderful about returning calls the same day, and always takes the time to answer any questions I may have. Dr. Feinberg was initially recommended to me by another very satisfied customer and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a vet in which they can entrust the care of their animals.
I bet that lady did have "tude"...
My family has had multiple dogs seen and treated here, and the staff has been great. I live in San Francisco and I called concerning my dog's yearly checkup and boosters that needed to be performed out here and the staff person I spoke with was very friendly and knowledgeable.
I was treated most rudely by office personel, including vet-Dr. Rabinowitz. I was accused of "rolling my eyes," and having a "'tude"-this according to Dr. Rabinowitz. I made an appointment for a kennel cough shot, I made that very clear,
for my Scottie, and wasn't told on the phone that an exam was necessary. Gracie was recently seen and examined by another vet-those records are available, and I would have produced them if anyone had told me. I did fax over her other shot records, as requested. I chose this office as it is about 5 minutes from my home, and the regular vet about 25 minutes.
I didn't expect to have my behavior criticized by the office employees-it was my impression they are there to provide a service-not comment on the behavior of their patient's owners-the ones who pay the bills. I did not roll my eyes, and any 'tude was on the side of the office personnel. Veterinary practices are built by word of mouth, and I'll be sure to share my experience with other dog owners I know. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to give a kennel cough shot-a bit a diplomacy would have gone a long way.
This is the best veterinary place that I have found in Baltimore. I have been to a few places but no one cares as much about animals as these people do. Dr. Evan Feinberg is the head vet and he is amazing with both my cat and my mini dachshund.
I had both of my pets fixed at this location and they provided great care for them while undergoing surgery as well as great post-care instructions.
They have a beautiful Persian that wanders throughout the building and their office staff is incredibly friendly. Their prices are more than reasonable and they offer great ideas and solutions to your pet problems
PROS: Great Head Vet, Great Prices, Very Knowledgeable
CONS: Location is semi out of the way, but not a big deal
