I can??t speak to the sales team, but the service department is the worst. They were never outright rude or anything, just incompetent, useless, and unwilling to help. They were about to charge me ~1000 dollars to replace a throw-out bearing that they had replaced a year previous. After I brought up this point, they mentioned a TSB was in the works, estimated 2 months, and they would contact me when it was out. I never received a call from them, and I called them some 6 months later when I found out that a TSB had come out and had been out for a few months, while I am driving around a Truck that sounds awful due to this issue. I dropped it off on a Sunday night, to be picked up on Monday. I was given an excuse for 4 DAYS STRAIGHT on why I could not pick up my truck, and did without till Friday, no easy feat. At no point was I offered a rental car, and when I requested one, they refused. Upon picking up my truck, the Temperature Gauge/Overhead console was not functioning. I called them on my way home, and they refused to pay to have the part replace, even though it was completely functional when I dropped it off. I spoke with the service manager and the Toyota experience and neither seemed at all willing to help. I never had a pleasant experience with them and will never go back.

I strongly recommend Toyota of Southern Maryland. I have purchased 2 vehicles there and have recommended family and friends who have purchased vehicles there. All have been very pleased with the dealership. I have taken my vehicles to the service department there for over 10 years and have been extremely happy with the people and service there, particularly with Ms. Virginia Aris. Virginia is very professional, extremely knowledgeable, and very friendly. She always calls to explain any service issues and the service is done right the first time. They recently added a courtesy vehicle to provide rides to and from your location, a nice convenience. I strongly recommend this dealership for your sales and service needs.

I??m a 19 year old college student that has owned 2 Toyotas in my lifetime. I bought my first Toyota there and the salesmen were so professional and courteous that I bought my second car there as well. I even serviced my cars there as well. The service was always done in an efficient amount of time and was affordable even for a student who is paying her own way through college. When I called in to make an appointment, I was thanked. When I was given a reminder call, I was thanked. When I came in, I was thanked by everyone. When I got my follow-up call on my service, I was thanked. It made me happy that I was appreciated and treated with respect. TOSM is sincere, kind, and always there to help. I??ve always had a wonderful experience while I was there. They offer many things for the customers, all you have to do is ask and they will assist you in any way possible. I wouldn??t take it anywhere else. So, No Thank You Jiffy Lube, Toyota of Southern MD is keeping my ride alive!

We have dealt with this dealership since 2005. We have purchased both a new car and a used car from them. We have been very pleased with the sales personnel and the service personnel. On November 18, 2010, we took our 2008 4-Runner to Waldorf Toyota for its 30,000 mile service check-up. Our customer copy shows that the oil was changed, the tires were rotated and the car was checked over. My husband was told the car was ready. On his way home, and we live right in Waldorf, the left front tire went flying off the car while he was driving down the road. This is the kind of service you can expect from this dealership.

Recently I visited the showroom in Lexington Park in response to their advertisement stating, in part, Toyota of Southern Maryland will offer 120% of the Fair Market Value of my car as quoted in the Blue Book. After doing research with Kelley??s, a member buying service and obtaining prior approval for a loan, I was prepared to purchase a new car.

Instead the sales team offered the Blue book trade-in value, a smoke screen of dealer costs necessary to prepare a traded car for resale, etc, nothing about fair market value as advertised. That approach negated any incentive for purchasing a car. The bait and switch and lack of good faith by the sales people meant Toyota of Southern Maryland lost a sale and a customer.

having read the reviews and with over 25 yrs in auto indusrty,i just had to shake my head.most toyota buyers are cheap and a pain in the you know what.i sold jaguars for 17 yrs and never read such nonsense.toyota of southern md is an excellent dealership staffed with professionals.gee ree c $14000.00 in damage?no warr co will cover a car like that.thats your fault!

I have purchased 3 vehicles from Toyota of So. MD. I have no complaints with the sales staff or the service department. I have only used the service dept. 2-3 times for warranty/call back items etc. because I change my own oil etc, and these cars are so good that I have not needed other services yet. I feel I was treated very well while at the dealership with the quality of service as well as a helpful staff.

I recently moved to this area and with two Toyota's I was happy to know that we have a Toyota dealer here. But my first experience was bad. They ripped me off on state inspection. I would say the staff was okay, but the vibes I got was that they will try to extract as much from you as possible. I don't think I will go for further service at this place.

I actually never made it to the dealership because the phone call was chaos enough. The service writer did not understand the technical term of the services I needed. Although the prices were $100 less than my dealer it all seemed way to fishy. Also when I was on hold the phone was picked up several times and I was called random names,such as Beth and Mame, but the 3rd time I was put on hold no one ever returned. I canceled my appointment upon having to call back.

I purchased my Tundra here in 2007, All service has been done here. Every time I take it in I have been treated with courtesy and respect. I look forward to seeing all the people in the service department when I go there. I did have trouble with the tire sensors when I first bought the truck. I was disappointed that it had to go in 6 times to be corrected completely, But I admire they followed all procedures correctly and relied on the correct resources such as the research and development department of Toyota to insure it was done correctly. Since then I have come to enjoy and look forward to getting my truck serviced there. I will continue to use their service. The service department staff is well trained and extremely Professional.

Every time I've gone to this dealer I've been treated poorly. Avoid them at all cost. I would rather make the drive to Waldorf or Prince Frederick than ever have to deal with the arrogance I witnessed at this dealer. The salesman spoke to us as though we we completely ignorant and their prices are absurdly high compared to other prices I've seen advertised for similar or newer cars with less mileage. I've also heard coworkers complain each time they've taken a vehicle in for service. One woman had to take her car back to them three different time and each time they would keep the car ALL day just to tell her at the end of each day that they had forgotten to order the required parts AGAIN.

I found the car of my dreams or so I thought at Toyota of Southern Maryland. It was fully customized and I didn't have to do any of my own customizing. It was also my first car purchase at a dealership. The car salesman was very pushy, but I thought it was normal because of the nature of their job. I was given a great interest rate initially. When I came back to sign the final paperwork the interest rate had gone up 7%. I told them I was no longer interested and they said they would take off $1,000. Like an idiot I decided to take the offer because the car was one of kind. At the time of signing and getting the car in my name, I bought an additional warrenty(100,000 mile 6years). I was told the warranty would cover mostly anything that went bad later on. Well needless to say something went bad, real bad. I got into an accident that caused $14,000 in damage, but was replaced back to new condition. I was having some problems about a year after the accident with my sunroof. Well at first they tried to say it was because my car was in an accident. Then they said it was not covered under my warranty because it was an after market sunroof. Mind you I bought the car from Toyota already customized and a $2,300 extra warranty that they said would cover things like the sunroof, only to find out the warranty I bought was pretty much worthless because everything in the car just about was customized. BUYERS BEWARE if you buy a customized car from the dealership, the warranty will not cover anything that goes bad later on down the line. Besides the fact that everyone there I talked to took advantage of me and then treated me like a piece of your know what, I still have to deal with them. I can tell you they are not friendly when it comes to fixing anything. They will go out of their way to make you responsible for the bill. GO SOME WHERE ELSE!

Although the manager was very nice, I had a lot of problems here. The always took so long just to do the standard services like oil changes and tire rotations. I would spend about 2 hours waiting for a standard 5,000 mile service. The place I go now, I waited 40 minutes for the same service. They actually broke my wheel locks off my car and scrapped up my wheels pretty bad. After all that, they tried to make me pay for new wheel locks. I don't think so. I would not take my car here again.

The truck was not what we wanted nor what we described to the sales person. After several tries to tell the person what we wanted they finally reluctantly showed us a truck like what we wanted. We asked if we could test drive the vehicle and got the run around like we were criminals. We ended up going to another dealer where we got what we wanted. I recommend doing your research online and going somewhere other than this dealer. They have a small selection and their prices are higher than some of the other dealers further north.
