A great neighborhood gathering spot.

by Catherine W.

A Baltimore standard, clean and friendly. We have eaten there for years. Their Saturday rock fish special is a real treat. Try their grilled tuna sandwich for a non-standard diner meal that is a pleasant detour from their not to be beaten breakfast menu and standard diner-fare sandwiches. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is always friendly. You won't be disappointed, or leave hungry.

Try the chocolate chip Belgian waffles.

by Baltimore R. | insider Insider | Rank: 18,364

Our family has eaten at the Overlea Diner many times (mostly for breakfast) and we have never had a bad meal. The service is prompt and polite. The chocolate chip Belgian waffles are very very tasty. Arrive early as by mid-morning it can get quite crowded.

Great food and friendly service

by victoria m.

I have been here a few time and have found the waitress to be very friendly and very helpful with my daughter. The food is great for the price. They have a kids menu that is the right amount of food for the kiddos. If you live in the area you should really try this place. Its small and cozy. Not alot of parking unless you park at the High store.

Great decor, adequate food

by Debra A. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,293

The Overlea Diner looks like a submarine or train car, set in the middle of a parking lot - it is a small silver building straight out of the fifties. I drove by many times before finally giving in to my curiosity and trying out the food. The servers are pure Baltimore charm - friendly and gruff all at once - and the menu is extensive. The milkshakes are excellent. The rest of the food is a little hit or miss and mostly very heavy on the grease. Lots of parking, very good prices.
