I've been living here for 2 years. We are infested with roaches, bed bugs and some people is also complaining about mold in the walls (thank god we don't have this problem yet). But the most annoying thing is the terrible service. The personnel in the leasing office is nice only when you are about to sign the lease, after that they become extremelly rude (they even think they can yell at you). I am an international student, and I could even say that some of them have shown hints of racism against me. Another annoying thing is that they don't value your privacy at all; any time is good for them to check the fire alarms and enter your apartment. And the neighborhood is very dangerous at night, some students have got robbed as early as 6pm at the very front of their buildings. The maintenance personnel is nice, tough, and the rent is "cheap" compared to what others charge for housing around here. I strongly recommend to look for other places to stay. All this is making graduate hills an infamous place, and they are so desperate to get new clients that they are offering $500 to the residents for recommending somebody to rent here. I wouldn't do that even to my worst enemy.

if you are a graduate student and you need a cheap home and a safe place to live, i strongly recoomend these places. I lived there for two years. It is awesome especially if you dont have car. You can just walk down to the school Even though, the walkway is danerous during late evening hours, it is fone otherwise.

PROS: Cheap and good
CONS: Dangerous commute from university at night

I lived there for two years when I was studying in University of Maryland. Looking back, I would not recommend this apartment to other people. The leasing office was very difficult to deal with, and they made a lot of mistakes. One example: there was another applicant with a similar name as mine, so they double booked the room to both of us. If they had paid a little attention, it would be easy to tell we were two different applicants. My application was sent in earlier than the other person, but they gave the other person the apartment instead. It took another month to get my apartment. The complex was not very secured. My neighbor was robbed in front of his building, and that was just one of the many instances. It would be better not to go out after dark. There was not washer and dryer for every building, so you may need to carry your laundry cross 2-3 buildings. I had a two-bedroom corner apartment, so I had extra windows and a slightly larger kitchen. There was nothing extraordinary about the living environment. And of course, the rent was always increasing every year. The location, on the other hand, was unbeatable. It only took me 15 minutes to get to my building (on the Business School side of campus), and there were grocery stores and banks nearby. The leasing office also provided apartment locator service for other apartment complexes.

PROS: Great location.
CONS: Unhelpful leasing office, low security, limited amenities, high price.
