.

I purchased a set of four BF Goodrich tires at BJ's and had them mounted at Tuffy's. The first time I drove to work I noticed the front was out of balance. So I took it back to Tuffy's and had them check to see that the front tires were balanced. Still a vibration. A couple of weeks later I took them to a different BJ's/Tuffy's and asked them to see what the problem was, if it's balancing, the tire is defective, or maybe even the wheel is bent (in which case you would rotate that wheel to the back). They said they fixed it but I'm still getting vibration in the steering which did not exist with my old tires. This morning I was checking my front wheel on the driver's side and noticed (voila!) that one of the four lug nuts was stripped and only halfway on. Obviously the Tuffy's rep that mounted the tire stripped it but did not say anything, neither did either of the two employees that "rebalanced" my tire. I'm a little pissed that 3 employees in a row were dishonest about the problem and likely did nothing at all once they noticed the stripped lug nut. I spoke with a tire distributor for Michelin who supplies Costco, Sam's and BJ's. He says Tuffy's is experiencing management problems and having difficulty getting experienced help. I'm not sure what I'll do about this yet but one thing is certain - my next set of tires will not be from BJ's/Tuffy's.

I can't believe that BJ's Warehouse associates itself with these people! I took in a vehicle to get some BJ's-purchased tires installed... that's all... simple and straightforward. I got back a vehicle with a broken seat belt and broken suspension! They never made good on their damages. THE WORST! AVOID!!!

Go about a block down Snowden River Parkway to The Lube Center (reviewed separately) or out 175 to Route 1 and use Waterloo Shell (also reviewed separately).
