The owner of the salon, Marie is mistreating her staff. My daughter has worked there for about a year. The owner has recently interrogated my daughter about whether or not she was getting waxed by another staff at her home. My daughter's answer was "no" but Marie kept asking her many personal questions, touching my daughter's leg with out her permission and try to intimidate her and asking her questions like: "Who does your wax then? why don't you have ingrown then?" while touching her legs which made my daughter very uncomfortable. Marie even asked her to show her underarm and on and on. My daughter was very upset and she didn't know what to do. Marie Practically harassed my daughter verbally, physically and mentally.
I called Marie the same night and left a voice mail for her complaining about the situation and at the end left my phone # to give her a chance to call and correct the situation but she hasn't contacted me yet. I am getting advise on file a complaint against her.
Of course my daughter has quit her job the same night.

Love, love, LOVE this place! I go to Marie for my weekly manicure and sometimes splurge on a hair treatment or massage, and I'm treated like a princess every time I'm there. All the staff really try and wait on you hand and foot and make sure that everything is to your satisfaction. The salon is well set up inside, with doors separating the facial/massage areas from the rest of the salon so that it's more soothing for those clients. The pedicure areas are curtained off so you have your own private area to rest and relax while you're being pampered.

The prices are reasonable compared to other salons in the area but they make up for them by using top notch products (I read one of the other reviews on this page and I don't think they use Paul Mitchell - I see Pureology and other expensive products on their shelves). With the hair cut, I've gotten Rozik and she can do absolutely wild cuts. Just show her a picture of what you want and she'll do it! It's really a work of art.

I highly recommend this place to everyone!

I have been going to this salon for years. My stylist is excellent but she is only there a few days a week. Unfortunately, their prices are going up and I may have to find a more reasonable salon. It only takes half an hour to get my hair done but they charge $55. which is too much for a Rockville salon in an out of the way location.
I do not like their spa services.

Expensive and totally horrible experience. It caters to old ladies who come in to get their hair washed and curled and the women stylists there seem to have made that their bread and butter. I got my hair colored and cut here, and two weeks later, I'm already showing gray - the stylist didn't color my whole head, just partially. That's never happened before in any salon I've been to, and upon asking, the stylist said if she colored the entire head, the color would become too saturated. Anyway, then they had another Asian woman there who took me for a shampoo. She was horrible. She pulled my hair and was so ungentle, digging her fingernails into my scalp. I was squirming in my chair the whole time, it was that uncomfortable. Also, they use Paul Mitchell shampoo which is not exactly great - for the price they charged me for the shampoo/cut and style, I could have got it done at a really fancy place with someone who at least knew what they were doing. My stylist was a nice woman, but seemed to be a bit on the older side , and works part time there, so by this time, I had abandoned all hopes of getting a reasonably trendy haircut and asked her to give me a trim - to just trim and follow my shape. She said she would, but clearly couldn't, and seemed to have trouble following the point cuts my previous stylist had given me, so I gave up on that expectation because it was clearly out of her experience. Then she took so much time in blow drying it- using a regular, not an Ionic Hair Dryer. I asked her for some straightening using the flat iron and she said she would do it, but it didn't quite work . The stylist was not comfortable using the flat iron, and after I returned from the salon and washed my hair two days later, my hair was uneven and stuck out from everywhere. Just a bad, unprofessional job overall.
The hairbrushes were covered in hair from previous customers and the place does not have adequate lighting and is unclean. Most horrible experience, and if you're looking for a quick color and cut with a professional well trained stylist, who is up with 21st century trends and cuts, this is not the place to go to.
I spent $60 for cut, $65 for color and then a tip. BAD BAD BAD experience. If you're looking for a nice spa like experience - the place is unclean and uncomfortable and ridiculously expensive for the space and experience they provide.
This place is totally avoidable, and I do not recommend it to anyone looking for a decent haircut or even a shampoo unless, of course, you're looking for a shampoo and a set from the 50's era and are willing to pay three times the amount such a cut/color/ set would cost you at a bare bones place.

I stumbled on this salon by accident, but I"m so glad that I did! They are kind of a small business, but very very good at what they do. They are extremely friendly and have given me great advice on beauty and hygeine. It's kind of out of the way, the Traville shopping center is a little bit off rt. 28 so it's not the most convenient place. It's very affordable and I think under priced for the quality of service!

PROS: friendly and professional!
