My family loves Freeze King. They have very very good prices and they give great portion sizes for the price. I used to work on East Street and would stop in with co-workers on our lunch break and we were never disappointed. It is a small establishment with little parking, but despite the summer crowds they work quickly to get your order out to you.

I am soooo in love with Freez King's chocolate shakes. Nobody makes them better. I love their food also and anything else they have on the menu! I've been going there for over 10 years and It's my favorite ice cream joint. There is only one downside- the wait. The wait can be endless even in a seemingly short line, so don't go there if you are in a hurry, unless there's nobody there. That's the only thing that keeps me from going there more frequently. I just don't have the time to wait for long periods of time. Maybe they'll see this and speed things up!

I have had several people tell me they absolutely LOVE Freeze King. I finally went there and tried it myself. I don't get it. The place is a hole in the wall, and the service was abismally slow. The ice cream was good enough, but I've been to much better places -- Rita's or the ice cream place at the Sunoco in Middletown.

Our family enjoys the many cool creations at Freez King on East Street. I think that this has been a Frederick tradition for many years, but we just found it on a recommendation from a neighbor after we moved here recently. They have anything you could imagine as far as ice cream goes. My personal favorite is the peanut butter sundae with whipped cream and nuts. The kids love the cones with sprinkles and my husband prefers the milkshakes. Awesome banana splits. Freez King also offers a food menu which includes subs, sandwiches, fries, etc. We have ordered several food items and have not been disappointed. This is one of those old type order at the window types of establishments. There are a few picnic tables outside to eat on, but no inside seating at all.
