Absolutely horrendous and corrupt service; DO NOT bring your car here. I had already heard bad things about this place before I brought my car here. My father had a car repaired here a few years ago, and when he looked at the bill afterwards, they had one item charged for replacement which apparently includes several smaller items, and then BESIDES that item several of the smaller sub-items were CHARGED SEPARATELY AS THEIR OWN ITEMS.

My brother brought a recently purchased car to repair for inspection here, and they told him it would be $1,000 to repair a leak in the steering column. He went to a local store and bought stop-leak fluid for $5 and he hasn't had any issues in the 2 years since he bought it. Would their method have been more reliable? Maybe, if you could know they wouldn't "discover another issue" along the way. But wouldn't you be willing to spend $5 instead of $1,000 on that chance?

Having been advised by my father, I didn't want to bring my car here last week, but my power steering just failed on me right outside the shoppers in the shopping center, and I didn't realize I had free towing through Geico, so I figured, maybe it won't be a big deal and they won't scam me (they can't do it EVERY TIME, can they?). Well, I should've gotten it towed, even had I needed to pay for towing. I got a diagnostic done and they told me it would be $500 to fix the serpentine belt and another piece that I think helps it run (can't think of the name off-hand). I'm not sure if this was a fair price or not, but I figured, for $500, I might as well try to drive the car to my usual shop without the power steering (it would only need 2 turns on the road to get there). So I went in and they gave me a bill for $150 for the diagnostic. I don't know much about cars, and I'm not very argumentative, so I just accepted the cost (they didn't tell me it would be that much beforehand). I went to the car and now it wouldn't start. I also noticed this giant plastic piece just sitting on the floor of my passenger seat, and I was just thinking, what in the world did they do? So I got the car towed to the other shop, and to make a long story short, it took them several hours to realize that the plug for the ignition coil had simply been....unplugged. And the plastic piece that I had seen was a cover for a part of the engine that was unnecessary to remove to do the diagnostic done. And the mechanic was outraged that shell had charged $150 for a diagnostic that should take 10 minutes - he said people get upset at him when he charges $25 for diagnostics. So not only did they overcharge me for the diagnostic, they also took apart my car in a way that had zero relevance to the diagnostic needed and required hours of work from another shop to repair (luckily I don't think the second shop will charge me much for this time). The second shop is the Sunoco on the corner of Clarks Lane and Reisterstown. Although the Sunoco wasn't great about calling me back, they are HONEST. The Greenspring Shell is owned by COMPLETE CROOKS. These were three events happening happening within the same family; how many people have they scammed?

And if you speak to them, you won't suspect them at all - they sound very friendly and professional, and what they say will sound like it makes a lot of sense, and yet somehow you will be left with a very light wallet when you walk out the door. For the good of mankind (yes, it's that epic), don't take your car to the greenspring shell.

Eric and his guys are great!!! I've been bringing my cars here for years. They always give you excellent service and they fix it right --- the first time. You have to pay a little to get the best but it's worth it. Keep it going!

I'm a road warrior who puts on a lot of miles every year and therefore spend a great deal of time in my car for work. I can't afford to be without my car (2008 Nissan) and historically took my cars back to the dealership. Someone

These guys are the best! Eric did a great job not only explaining to me what the issues were with my car but showing me as well. The technicians did a great job, and on-going and intermitant electrical problems that I was having were solved. My car (Mercedes) runs fantastic and the bill was much lower than what the dealership quoted me. These guys are getting all my future business. Honest and fair...can't ask for more than that.

They don't know what they are doing there. I took my truck there because it was pulling to the left. They told me I needed this and that and it'd be 800 bucks. So i said ok if you say so. Picked the truck up and it drove fine, no pulling

Dead car. Mechanic first said I needed a new starter, then a neutral safety switch, $500+ total. I asked if maybe I had a bad chip key, he said highly unlikely. I cancelled the order and had the car towed home (Windsor Towing, under contract to the station), out $70 for the estimate (I believe in paying a working man) and $85 for the tow.

Found my spare key and tried to start the car. Turned over like it was new. Tried the old key again, dead car. That means the problem wasn't NSS, which only detects what gear the trans is in before letting the engine start, not what condition the ignition key is in. If the NSS was truly shot, neither key would have worked.

FWIW, on my car, the neutral switch is located on top of the transaxle where it's easy to swap out with a screwdriver. *New* replacements go as cheap as $40 online.

Shysters!!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!! Took my car there for a basic inspection. The car was perfect and already had an out of state inspection done recently. They failed the cars inspection and said it needed about 2,000 dollars worth of work to get it done. This car only has 40,000 miles on it and has never been in any accidents. After picking up my car, there was a serious leak that they caused to get me to pay for things it didnt need. They bent my transmission dipstick so I cant check my fluid. There was also money missing from my cupholder. They stole 2 of my kids toys as well. They pray on white collar people and try and get over on all the Jewish community in the area because they think we dont know any better. Brought the car somewhere else after I fixed what they broke and it passed on the first shot. THIEFS!!!!!!!!

This station is convenient for me. Eric always gives a detailed explanation prior to work being done. Have spoken with mechanic myself for further understanding. Prices were comparable to dealership, certified parts used and vehicle was repaired. When there was a problem a week later, they worked with me to figure it out and they said they learned something new about my vehicle that will help others. This is not a bargain shop and you get what you pay for. Should offer more specials to regular customers. They have serviced three cars for me and all were repaired excellently.

Pros: Very organized, clear explanations prior to commitment

Cons: Prices equal to or higher than dealership

I took my car to be serviced here because it need an out of state inspection. They wanted to charge me $180 to replace a bolt on my battery and turn a screw on my fog lamp. Took it to Hollenshade's and they charged me $18.00 for the service.

I dropped my car off Monday morning to have my thermostat repaired at a cost of over $700.00. You would have thought the repair costs were enough, but on Tuesday when I picked up my car and left the station, I realized that all of the accumulated pocket change that I keep in my console was gone, correction, they left the pennies. I guess finding an honest repair facility where you don't have to clean your car of your valuables before handing it over is impossible. In the case of this Shell, they clean out your valuables for you!

It's a good gas station! I like to clean my windshield when I fill my tank, and I hate when the squeegy they give you is sitting in filthy water. The water here tends to be pretty clean (it's the little things that count). I really like having my oil changed here, also. Reason being, they give you a coupon for a free bagel at Miller's Deli right next door for while you wait. What other place will do this when you get your oil changed?? My only gripe is that the gas prices are usually a few cents higher than average.
