if you can get past the decor and musty/seafood smell coming from the carpets, you will enjoy good food. We had a large party of 15+ and they accommodated us on short notice. one thing I wasn't expecting is that lobster ravoli or crab

After a terrible experience at Mo's Fisherman's Wharf we were told that this was the Mo's to go to. The waitress was very nice & the service was good but the food didn't have much flavor. We ordered crab legs again & my order had legs that were partially full. The crab had started to disintegrate. I didn't complain because the waitress was nice & sympathetic when we told her about our experience at the other restaurant. I'm sure that Baltimore has good seafood, but it's definitely not at Mo's.

My wife and I stopped in to share a quick appetizer before visiting the National Aquarium. Taking the bartender's recommendation, we ordered the Cold Trio and a beer each. Well, it was supposed to come with lump crab meat, shrimp, and lobster. We received a medium portion (3-4oz) of crab meat, 2 shrimp and a piece of lobster about the size of a large marble. All this for the bargain price of $19.99. Add in the 2 beers (none available on tap) and we got out for a modest $32.50 before tip. This place is a rip-off.

By comparison, we went to Veggiano's on Water Street for dinner and had a delicious meal of a large crab cake, shrimp and scallops of generous portions for a very reasonable $23.99.

The waiter came and took our plate after we finished dinner and asked it we wanted to order anything else. We told him no thank you and disappeared never to be seen at our table again. Someone else FINALLY brought out bill. We checked it and it was the expected amount. He ran the card and brought back our receipt to sign and surprise! They added a 17% gratuity. When I spoke to the hostess about it, they said that had a problem with people leaving without tipping. Wonder why. I have never reviewed a restaurant online before, but this made me angry.

You can do much better in Baltimore. Other restaurants had some of the nicest waiting staff that we have me and great food. Keep yourself happy and go somewhere else.

Visited Baltmore as part of a volleyball tournament and took 22 people to eat at Mo's. This was by far the worst customer service experience of my life. We waited for an hour to be seated even though we had a reservation, then a full 15 minutes passed before anyone even approched the table. We thought we were wating for the best seafood in town, and it was really not that impressive. Our waiter was very rigid on policies and at one point refused to take a dish off the check that never arrived at the table. After insisting, he said he could do it , but only because there was a manager there to approve it. This place was a like a completely different world in terms of what they consider good service and the food wasn't worth the drama. it's also very , very, pricey for what we got.

Pros: Had a shuttle van

Cons: We were trapped in a terrible place due to the shuttle !

The whole restaurant could use a deep cleaning. The well-worn carpet and bannister upstairs was so sticky we literally had to rip our feet off the floor.

If that's what the interior of the restaurant is like...imagine the uncleanliness of the kitchen.

Both my friend and I were sick the next day! Coincidence?

Clean up your act! We won't be back! Yick!

I and a friend had dinner at MO's Crab and Pasta Factory . Our meals were excellent and served by a very friendly staff. I had scallops in a white sauce and served on angel hair. There was an abundance of scallops and the serving was large. My friend, who does not like pasta, made an exception for the meal she ordered. She found it very tasty. In good conscience I can recommend MO??s Crab and Pasta Factory as an excellent place to eat. It even advertises itself as handicapped accessible.

However, my friend was on an electric scooter. The handicapped ramp is back a driveway. For my friend to get her electric scooter to the handicapped ramp I had to go in to the restaurant and notify an employee of my friend??s intention to use the handicapped ramp. Next I had to go out into the street and stop traffic in both directions so that three of the employees of MO's could back their cars out into the street. Then my friend was able to drive her electric scooter back to the rather steep ramp. Next an employee had to open up the outwardly opening inside door and walk 3 feet, stepping over a Coca-Cola case, open the locked outside door, pull it open, and stand out of the way.

My friend revved up her scooter and headed up the ramp. When she realized she was facing a Coca-Cola carton and an outwardly opening door that was shut she stopped accelerating and sort of jerked back a bit. The scooter went over backwards. My friend??s shoulders wound up in a mud puddle and her head intersected with a curb. A trained fireman showed up and organized the lifting party to get the scooter out from under my friend and my friend back on her feet. We then went in and had the excellent meal I've described in the first paragraph.

So, if you are in a wheelchair or on a scooter it would probably be best not to go alone to MO's Crab and Pasta Factory. You will need someone to stop traffic and do the other things necessary for you to get into this handicapped restaurant.

I have just moved to the Baltimore/Little italy area and kept noticing a lot of action going on at Mo's Seafood factory which got me curious. I read reviews- which confused me. People either loved it or hated it. Not a lot of inbetween. So it was my sons birthday and I figured we just HAD to try it. Well, after spending $234 on dinner for 4, I learned that all the action going on around there must NOT be for the quality of the food. It was just terrible. I tried all four of all meals- all ordering something very different. My oldest son got a fried seafood platter - I figured you CANT mess that up. Well, yeah, they did. The scallops and shrimp were inedible- some crunchy clams strips went along and fish that Athrurs Treachers puts to shame. So i decided to try mine. Stuffed jumbo shrimp. The shrimp were so overcooked and crunchy, it felt like the shell was still on it. The birthday boy ordered the steak and lobster tail- well the steak was ordered Medium and was for sure well done and the lobster was gummy and tough and dry. Finally, my husbands crab cake. I suppose it was the best of the bunch but FULL of shells in each bite making it impossible to eat. I could on and on but will not. I can say that i DO wish we had went to Red Lobster instead where the meal would have been 100 times better for half the price. Never Again will I set foot in there but I will still wonder, what all the cars do out there every night in the street... certainly now sitting around waiting for the food.

My and Husband and I visited Mo's for an early Valentine's day dinner. I will say the food we ordered unfortunately was just ok. I ordered the crab cakes and my husband ordered scallops (broiled). Although the waitress was very nice, she was slow and would not check back to see if we needed anything. We asked other waiters to get things for us, because we could not find her. People came after us and got out before us because they had a more efficient waitress. It took a long time for the food to come out, which was disappointing. We were there rather early, 4:30 p.m. There were only two of us. It took them 30 minutes to bring my husbands salad out. The crab cakes were huge, but they were by far not the best I have had in the area. If you are from Maryland, you know a good crab cake when you get one. If you are not, you may have thought the crab cakes were the best you ever had. They were not hot when they came to the table and they had a lot of filler in my opinion. Oh, I also received a Baked Potato on a separate plate that was not sliced with nothing. I had to ask for sour cream and butter., as did my husband with his meal. My husband was not happy with his scallops at all. They came out on a plate with nothing else, just scallops with no presentation. Don't get me wrong, I guess that would not have mattered if they were good. He was so disappointed. Oh, I should let you know we were there for Restaurant week. You really were not getting a deal. You could have ordered from the menu for the same if not cheaper price. We really did not want desert, but since it came with the dinner we took it home. The restaurant itself is a small little place, which some may describe as a hole in the wall. It definitely did not have an ambience for a valentine's dinner. All in all, we may not return to Mo's. The food was not worth the money we spent. Maybe it was what we ordered, but it was disappointing to say the least.

This is one of the BEST Seafood and Pasta restaurants in town! The seafood is always fresh, the portions are large and the service is friendly and fast. To blame a restaurant for "worms" in your wine is outrageous! I would imagine you would have seen "worms" in the glass before the waitstaff poured your wine. Wine is a natural product. Grapes grow in the dirt and there are many ways that nature can effect the wine. The restaurant staff has no way of "placing" "worms" in your wine before serving it. This is a fine establishment with wonderful management. It is a shame that something that was out of their control is being pushed upon them!

worms happen.

They come in on the grapes, hang out during fermentation, and crawl around the winery.

In good winemaking you try and eliminate as much as you can from getting in the wine and then in the process of 'racking' the wine you also hope to get out any bits. The final thing you do at bottling is filter the wine.

There are all kinds of degrees of filtration and at very minimum you should use what is called a screen filter. That basically does not effect the wine at all but keeps out particles greater than 1mm.

A lot of small wineries bottle by hand, and they don't use screens. Some others have heard the phrase "unfiltered" so much that they tell the bottler to not use a screen.

In any case, you should complain to the winery not the restaurant.

Dont believe me? Go to wine spectator school and check out the forum.

I ate dinner at Mo's Crab and Pasta Restaurant in Baltimore and was enjoying the meal until my boyfriend noticed a live maggot-like white worm in his red wine. Then, after searching, we both found several others in our glasses. We had ordered a bottle and watched the waiter open it in front of us. After alerting him, he was very defensive and said that it must be the wine and from the grapes that made the wine. This did not make a whole lot of sense, but we were trying not to make a scene so we waited patiently while the waiter called the manager who was not on-site that evening. We were told that the manager wanted to come meet with us and that he would be right over, but first he tried to difuse the situation by offereing us a new bottle of wine. (Are you kidding? I was feeling sick from the thought of drinking worms and the last thing I wanted was more wine.) As we waited for the manager I called a friend and had her google "worms in wine" and all sorts of similar phrases. Well, nothing came up on google!! So, we concluded that the waiter was full of it and in fact the wine glasses were worm-ridden. Finally, after we waited 45 minutes, the manager calls and again and confirms that he is not meeting us but wants to talk to us. My boyfriend got on the phone and had to pretty much fight just to have the wine fee of $28 removed from the bill. The manager said it is not his fault that there were worms in the wine. My boyfriend told him that we had been waiting for 45 minutes and deserve something taken off our tab, but the manager would not budge. WHAT A HORRIBLE WAY TO RUN A RESTAURANT! Needless to say, I am upset and disgusted by this place. I am going to complain further and to the nationally acclaimed vineyard that supplied the wine. They need to know that this restaurant is committing slander.

Remember, the reserved Mrs. Flanders and I were up in Maryland for a retirement bash. This eatery is right down the street from our hotel and they recommended it. As a matter of fact, the restaurant even has a small bus that will pick you up and take you back to the hotel!! So, we decided to try this place out since the other guests (and transportation) wouldn?t arrive until tomorrow.
Mrs. Flanders quickly shook her head ?no? to the offer or an appetizer but I had a bowl of Mussels in a Spicy Tomato Sauce I had. Messy but yummy!
Oh, I forgot about our libations: Mrs. Flanders stuck with the Cosmo and once I found out they had Campari, I knew I could have a Negroni (or two). Did I ever tell you the Italian history of the Negroni you?ve heard me mention so much?
This elixir has three parts: 1 part gin, 1 part sweet vermouth and 1 part Italian Compari, with a garnish of orange slice. The Italian concoction was created in the early 1900s, in Florence. It was named after Camillo Negroni, who always got the same drink. Enough mixacology education for the night.
Now for the main courses. Mrs. Flanders had her beloved Alaskan King Crab Legs with drawn Butter, and every few minutes I?d hear the lovely (but normally aloof) Mrs. Flanders squeal, ?LOOK AT THAT BIG PIECE OF CRAB MEAT!? I ordered the Seafood Trio (Broiled Crab Cake, Shrimp, and Scallops). I will say that was the best crab cake I had ever devoured! And they were definitely sea scallops judging by their size! The portions were so big; it was the first time I can remember of leaving some of those goodies on my plate! Just a glass of white wine for both.
My crab cake and her crab legs were the stars. Unfortunately, I must report my shrimp and scallops were a bit on the cool side, but tasty. And why did my Mediterranean waiter keep calling me boss? as a mark of respect, I guess.
Oh well, we had a great time, and I?d be back and mark it 8 on a scale of 10!

Pros: Good Drinks and Food

Cons: Some things were cool

We were picked up at our hotel by the shuttle and delivered to this small restaurant in a not so nice part of little Italy. Staff was pleasant but ambience was okay if viewed through rose colored glasses. The glass divider was really a stained glass divider, stained with grease!
Waiter rushed us to take order, salad was delivered right away and drinks were timely. After a few bites of salad the main dish was delivered with waiter letting us know that the food came up a little early. In no time we had a table full of side dishes, main dishes, drinks and breads leaving no room to move. When the waiter asked if we wanted additional side dishes we ordered we said no because there would not have been enough room to put the dishes on the table. The dessert menu was never discussed and before we knew it the check was on the table.
Treating a couple of important people to an evening of fine dining was very disapointing for all us. Fast food establishments could learn much from how Mo's rushed us through their restaurant.
During the shuttle ride back to the hotel the driver was telling us about much better restaurants in the area without us even mentioning our dining experience, what was that all about.
Maybe ordering take-out is the way to go because the food was worth it!

This was definately NOT a pleasant dining experience. We called for reservations and when we arrived they did not have our reservation. Although we were seated fairly quickly, I asked a the lady at the front that I first spoke to and the man that seated us to speak to the manager. We got through our entire meal - which by the way took nearly an hour and a half - and still had to seek out someone to talk to before we left.

When we were seated we had to ask for water. They did not set full place settings for our party. We had to ask numerous times for things like water refills, drink refills, salt and pepper, sweetener. For a restaurant that has pasta in it's name you would think that italian salad dressing would be a given....guess again. They did not have any "non creamy" dressings. I was finally given some various olive oils and a bottle of balsamic vinegar to use for myself. The sides that are served do not make any sense pasta. Why would you want rice or a baked potatao with a pasta dish? At least one of the meal
was not correct. To add insult to injury, because of the size of our party the "gratuity" was automatically added to the bill. When we asked to separate the bill we were told that we could identify how much we wanted to put on various credit cards.

On leaving the restaraunt, we found out we were not the only ones that had such inferior service. Everyone we talked to leaving had the same service and lack of regard from the entire management and staff.

I have never before left any review on a restaurant but then....I have never had such an unpleasant dining experience. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Baltimore.

Pros: For the most part the food was OK

Cons: Service was totally unacceptable

We went to Mo's Crab and Pasta Factory in August 2006 with a large group of sailors on a cruise. It was an easy walk from the Inner Harbor East Marina where the group was docked. The group was returning after past visits, but this was out first time. Service is pleasant but slow. They do not want to give individual checks, prefering to give one check to a table, but they will take individual cradit card charges at the cash register. The kitchen's output in terms of speed cannot keep up with the number of diners on a Saturday night. That is unfortunate but understandable. The kitchen's putput in terms of quality of the dishes and quantity of the portions is outstanding! It is more than worth the wait! If you enjoy conversation before dinner, you will enjoy Mo's. If you want Fast Food, maybe Red Lobster is for you. We are going back with a different group in January 2007. Nuff said!

Arrived by mistake, taxi driver took us to Mo's Seafood and Pasta instead of Mo's Fisherman Wharfs. This was the first mistake, sat at the bar, second mistake, Angie, the barkeep, totally unfriendly, how many places have you gone to that has a bartender with an attitude? Best part of the evening is that we met a very friendly "Yvette," a victim of two anuerisums (spelling?) and two awesome nurses from Alabama who were working at Johns Hopkins hospital cardiac unit. Food was filling more than satisfactory, however if the staff had been more friendly we could have overlooked the cuisine. We will most certainly make sure we go to Mo's Fisherman's Wharf next time. Been there two times, Terry the manager and Theresa a real cutie who keeps you happy and your bar tab running plus good, good food is our preference.

Okay if you want to go to a restaurant for an intimate dinner for valentines day or a quiet night on the town dont eat at mo's. Mo's also has a takeout section so if you want the food but not the loudness you can always get your food and leave. Mo's is not in anyway a fancy restaurant. This place most defienantly has the best seafood in Maryland. It is great for a family fun night, or just a fun date for a couple. The food comes in very large portions so you more than get your money's worth! Sometimes their may be a crowd and you may have to wait a while to get your food but overall this place has the best seafood. The waiters and waitresses have always been friendly and polite when I have went. Also mo's is convienantly placed in a short distance from the harbor. There are seafood restaurants in haborplace but they serve less food, are more expenisve, and their food quality does not compare to mo's. If you do want a quiet setting to eat your food you should really consider either taking out from mo's or going down the harbor. I GIVE MO'S 50 THUMBS UP!

If you like seafood, Mo's Crab & Pasta Factory is the place to go! Everything was fresh, delicious and in nice size portions. You really get your money's worth at Mo's. We had the Mo's shuttle pick up for our 9 p.m. reservation, we were seated right away and the service was great. If you like crab, you have to try the cream of crab soup. We shared baked clams in mozzerella cheese and bacon, out of this world. Then my stuffed lobster arrived, you could feed a family with this entree'. I hope Mo comes to Long Island. I also was so happy with my experience at Mo's I wanted a t-shirt from the resturant (there aren't any). Mo, need any t-shirt designs? We had a great server, he was from Queens, and a very hard worker, he made great suggestions because I just couldn't decide from the great selection on the menu. The Mo's shuttle also took us back to our hotel, thank goodness because we were too full to walk!

Did I mention the crab? This was an awsome restaurant. Food was GREAT. Service was really wonderful (Ask for Nick to be your server). The drinks, well, there could be some improvement on the bartending end of things, but it certainly didn't detract from the food or service. Well within walking distance from the inner harbour hotels (we stayed at the Residence Inn on Light Street). Thecrab platter was awsome and the crab cakes were REALLY good. Crab "puffs" were excellent as well.

I've searched the city over for crab cakes, and there's no comparison to Mo's. Huge! Awesome! Great caesar salad too. If the previous review is correct about poor service, I'd suffer thru poor service (I had great service, and went back 3 nights in a row) just for those incredible crab cakes. To die for. Mo - any chance you'd consider opening one in Tampa??!!

Reservations were made for 8:30pm and we didn't get seated until 9:00pm. Once we sat down we waited fifteen minutes to order a bottle of wine and receive it. We waited another 10 minutes for the waiter to take our order. We ordered soup for an appetizer and that took another fifteen minutes. From the time we got the soup until our entrees came, another HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES went by. The waiter kept on saying it would be out shortly but he underestimated the time. It was 11:00pm, yes 2 hours after we sat down, by the time our entrees came. Being that we had guests in town, we decided to stay and the only thing they took off the bill was 20%, which was bascially the gratuity. The owner felt he was being generous. Obviously, we thought otherwise. BEWARE of long waits, dishonest service, and rude waitstaff.

Going to Mo's on valentine's day was the worst choice ever! Making reservations did not help with the wait. I never knew that it took 20 minutes to get a drink after being seated. Not to mention a frozen beer that took 10 more minutes to get fixed! Sitting around in this place from 8-11 waiting for service was not how I wanted to spend the night. To top it off they tried to add a $14 tip to our bill!

One of the frontdesk staff at the hotel where we were attending a conference recommended Mo's. They even called Mo's for us & the restaurant sent a van for us (and returned us to our hotel after dinner) at no extra charge!

Even without that type of special service, the food alone made our visit to Mo's memorable.

A friend treated me to this establishment for my 30th birthday and it was well worth the drive from DC to Baltimore for it. The food was excellent and the service was top notch. You might even run into some local celebrities as we did such as the former World Heavyweight Boxing Champion, Hasim Rahman.

This is a place you are sure to enjoy..
