In answer to Christian J.

I have been attending the church for almost 18 1/2 years. There are black people in every aspect of the church. Yes there is a (black) African Pastor on staff there. Someone had mentioned that they had started a black church. They did not start a separate church for the blacks. They created an extra service on Sunday evenings that the African Pastor, Pastor Emokpae, (not sure right spelling) resides over that service. Pastor Kirk has a soft heart for everyone in the church and does not see color. I would reccommend anyone to this church. Damon was said to be an usher. He now is in charge and runs the coffee bar. We have a black woman who is a greeter at the front door of the church. There are ushers as well as worship team blacks. They are throughout the church serving next to others in all different positions in the church.

First of all, I would like to say I don't know where the reviewer Richard T. got the idea that this church doesn't eccept blacks! I have been attending this church for 17 years and I know for a fact that this couldn't be further from the truth. Central is a multi cultural church with almost 50% blacks that attend, with blacks (Nelson, Eddie, and Loyd) on the worship team, a black man (DJ) who works in sunday school, and a black man (Damon) who is an usher, all are really great guys! Does that sound like it doesn't accept blacks? But don't take my word for it, attend CCA and you will be convinced. Now CCA is not flawless (because I don't believe there is such a thing as a perfect church, if you find one, it won't be perfect anymore once you get there), not accepting blacks is NOT one of them! I do agree with Matthew P. that since the two churches merged with CCA, you feel a little lost in the crowd, but that is a minor thing that a good cell group will solve. That is my only complaint that I see! CCA is a loving church to ALL cultures with a pastor that realy knows God's word, and he will never water it down or suger coat God's word, and I have never know him to reject anyone! You can not find a more loving, compassionate, real, and mercy showing pastor as Pastor Terry V. Kirk!

I used to attend this church regularly for years until a separate service for blacks was to be introduced, then i realized blacks are not welcome and i quite. Very few blacks of African descent now attend

When I first attended this church it was rather small and everyone knew everyone. Now it has had two churches close their own doors and join Central's membership. So you are now lost in a crowd. The preaching the last I heard it was still good. It has a great playground for the children. The building was just recently finished renovated and it has many more amentities now. There's even a snack shop which of course has coffee for those early morning services.

PROS: Good Preaching
CONS: Lost in the Crowd
